Mentioning Avi by name would have been awkward for both Avi AND Matt. Kirstie thanked everyone who ever helped them. Had they mentioned Avi by name there would have been a group that would say they were taking advantage of his fan base, another group would have started a Matt vs Avi thread and another that would have claimed they never would have succeeded without him. A no win for anyone.

I'm so glad to see they are getting the recognition that they deserve! I've been a fan of PTX since the very first show of the "Sing Off" , and I knew by the second episode that they would win it! Just think about this: 6 millions album sold, 3 Grammy awards and now, a much deserved star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame! They are the first acapella group to EVER get this recognition! So proud and happy for them!

It is just amazing to see them all grown up and absolutely crushing it. I liked that Scott said, "if you've been a fan since the beginning or since yesterday." I've been a fan since 2011 "The Sing Off" and knew they would win that. Glad to see they are still winning and they didn't give up when the record label dropped them. PTX is a tue testament to hard work and perseverance and love of what they do. I do wish Avi would have been there. That would have been the icing on the cake and the emotional straw that would have broken even the toughest of us. They are a joy to listen to and a joy to watch because you can see hear and feel the sheer joy and love and hard work that they put into EVERY performance. Congratulations to Scott, Mitch, Kirsten, Kevin, Matt, and our guy the OG bass man and never to be forgotten Avi.

@@JorgElixir it is standard policy from the Hollywood Chamber Of Commerce when honouring a group that all members of a group are invited as standard practice even members who have left. All living members of the group past and present are invited. Avi was invited he just chose not to come.

They worked their buts off after the Sing Off prize came to nothing. They have amazing voices and the beat boxing is a skill not anyone can do, 3 grammies is huge there are few other groups who have achieved this.

Um they have been working now for 12 years. They have many EP's and Albums to their name, have been certified platinum multiple times, 3 Grammy wins and between them multiple side projects. Like Scott alone does Pentatonix, is the manager of 2 groups Acapop Kids and Citizen Queen, he is writing a musical, he has a podcast and recently dropped his first solo single Mars. And he's just one man. They are constantly making and releasing albums and going on tour when they can. Like they are not naive kids anymore. 2 of them have children. They have more than earned this star. They work incredibly hard, they are insanely talented and there is not a spec of ego between them.
