I just love it when Scott let's loose. I also love it when he gets the appreciation he deserves (he sometimes gets a little overlooked, I think). And just lately he has really levelled up too. His voice is so versatile and he's so aware of everyone else he's singing with, he knows their strengths and weaknesses, and always makes sure that things work to give everyone their moment. As much as they don't have a front man, he is the perfect front man.

This is from the Tony Award winning Broadway musical, Dear Evan Hansen. Kirstie has done Broadway and you can tell. Scott is incredible in this one. You're right the arrangement is fantastic. But then when isn't it????

First! This is from the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen. The original singer was Ben Platt. May I suggest Goodbye From Lonely by Superfruit. Not as well known as many of theirs.

I love, love, love them all but there was something about Scott's voice from the very first notes, his heart on his sleeve, his soul shining through the music. The grit he can texture his sound with and those cracks in his voice that enhances the lyrics , that feel so real, so heartfelt. And how is it that anyone I've seen him do a duet with is a perfect blend? Scott is a vocal chameleon. 💜

I get what you mean. They don't have a lead, but if they did it would be Scott. He's the motor of them. The one who brought them together. He's a natural born leader and extremely versitile and powerful singer. He's a huuuge part in their arrangements, choices and marketing. I love that they don't have a lead and highlight the members where it fits. But he's a great "spokesperson" and "someone needs to take the reigns" person to have.

Scott leads in this particular song, as he suggested this song to the band to cover. This song is very personal for him, he used to listen to it all the time when he was in High School. It's about social anxiety. Great reaction!

This is what Scott said, 'I'm obsessed with this song, it really means a lot to me, what it's about I can really relate to, ESPECIALLY WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL, and so, I, like, have always listened to this song, and it's my most played song'.

I agree, it should definitely have a lot more views! I believe it's because it's a broadway song, it might not be so popular. But I'm not a huge fan of musicals myself and yet, it's hands down one of my top 5 PTX songs from all they ever recorded. It's mindblowing and so versatile - I know it's due to the way, how it was written, but the way they arranged it... omg I have no words ❤

Any one of those 3 of Scott, Mitch, and Kirstie can lead; All 3 have tremendous range and harmonize together incredibly well no matter who takes lead. That trio has a perfect blend of talent and a full understanding of musical knowledge, plus working together for many years. Having Scott as being the lead in most of their songs is a natural fit for arranging with Mitch & Kirstin as backup in a higher octave sounds totally seamless and perfect with Scott in his baritone. Then when Mitch or Kirstin lead, Scott goes up one octave and the switch is flawless. They have had this mastered for a very long time... There is so much more I can say about those three, but this would make your comment section look like a book and many Pentaholics already know what I would be rambling on about and what you have discovered yourself.. And I haven't even started on about K.O. or Matt's talents! But this group is Phenomenal and your reaction says it all.

Ce cover fait partie de mes préférés (je suis d'accord, il n'est pas assez mis en avant)...tout est parfait, Scott mais aussi Mitch Kirstie et Matt et Kevin...Kevin est juste incroyable...ils le sont tous. I hope you can react to the songs on their newest record "Holidays Around the World". Waiting for December? If you had to pick a lead singer from PTX...you are so right...he is the lead singer. But...in my opinion...Scott puts 150% effort in all his performances. Another "but", without the other 4, PTX would be nothing, so they all need each other, no doubt. Perfectonics. @@ReactionsbyD In 2016, Mitch started to get dangerously thin. He was diagnosed with early stage cancer and went through chemotherapy. They didn’t share what kind just that they expected a full recovery. I don’t know them personally. I just read about it. If you look at their 2016 videos, you can see the signs (I went through it so have seen a lot of it): Rise, Jolene, Gold, Hallelujah. Glad he made it!

This is a persistent myth, but not true. He dieted too much but corrected course eventually. Scott shaved off his hair in a Superfruit video because Mitch had done so many different things to his hair that it was not in great shape anymore and they shaved it off.
