Excellent pointers, Robert. I have the adapters for both new roll and take up roll and was wondering how I would unload in daylight. Good to know that you open the back and cut the film right in the center and reuse the roll on the left as the new take up roll on the right.

Where can I get such a spare roll that will take up the shot film? Or does every roll of film has this kind of paper at the end and you just cut the film from that red roll?

I think that's way better than fiddling with takeup spools and what not. But do you have to use the same adapter for the takeup roll? So this means I would have to buy 2 conversion kits

That’s right, you’ll need two sets. However a believe a few people on eBay or Etsy sell them in pairs! And you can use any 35mm film in place of the yellow tape I’m using here. Just try to find a cheap or expired roll that you can burn :)

Have you ever thought about how many 35Pano-shots you have to make before the effort is justified? I crop the 120mm Film if I need a pano shot and stay flexible with my camer bodies (6x7 & 67)

That’s a great question and definitely not one I know the answer to. I enjoy bulk loading and exposing the sprocket holes using this technique. I also average about 19-20 pano shots per roll, which is double what a roll of 120 would give me.

How did you get that yellow paper inside of the old 35 roll?

That was from an old roll of microfilm. But any 35mm roll will do. See if you can find a real cheap or expired one to burn!
