i THOUGHT i might watch a few lil videos and take my pentax apart to clean some foam off my view finder and clean up crumbly foam around my mirror box but uhhhh. i’m way outside my depth here 😅 hats off to you incredible professionals! truly intricate work!

Great videos mate - really hope you keep these going. Personally love the old mechanical SLR’s with minimal electronics. Would be great if you could slow down around the sequencing of shutters and mirrors so we get time to assimilate all the info 👍 Where are you getting your service and repair manuals for the cameras? Anyway the video and sound quality is really good. Longer videos imho are better. Love them all so far - well done 👍📸🙏

Really enjoy these videos. I was looking at buying a MZ-S, so your previous series was very pertinent to me (they have similar motor issues). Amazing how different the more mechanical K1000 is from the MZ. I would very much like to see what kind of supplies and equipment you keep on hand in order to conduct these types of repairs and cleanings. Keep up the great work, and looking forward to the next one.

Thanks! Love the MZ-S. The plastic motor gear is slightly different than in other MZ cameras and seems less prone to failure, but it can still happen. I will probably do a workbench tour in the future but for now you can find a list of my most used tools and supplies in the video descriptions.

Man! I'm in awe with these videos. I also have a K1000 that's of my father and it's been years since I wanted to start using an analog camera. My K1000 has a couple of problems, may I contact you via mail or something so I can decide whether to try to restore it or just buy a "new" one?
