A gorgeous final product without the actual curlers used to actually SET the spirals in this otherwise beautiful head of hair. Not knowing the purpose of watching this might hinder a readers ability to be bias about seeing such fragile simple things held in common between a young woman and a stylist. I watched this video because I have very fine and healthy straight hair that will NOT hold a heat style long after a set. My skin is very sensitive to products and heavy chemicals so I stopped trying to permanently fix my curls with PERMS and products. I personally LOVE the styles that look natural with minimal styling and cutting needed, but- it is fair to say a fresh new cut and style does wonders for a woman who is disappointed with the 'same old' nothing to it but, etc... everyday type fix. I love my hair and love the fact that I can keep it clean and messy at the same time with just a special care for what I use IN it... Like a light shampoo and a small amount of a leave in conditioner while letting it AIR dry in a simple twist updo claw clip that allows my hair to absorb the new moisture and conditioner lotions with time and minimal pulling or twisting or teasing that comes along with forcing a permanent set. The use of one day clarity shampooing then the following three days of a very light moisturizer like thorough soaking in a perfumed bath while I relax, lightly towel dried for minimal dripping thing just a dime size of a conditioning at the tips.... Day 2 a let down from the clip so the roots can dry with another dime size amount of moisture and a loose grouping of a side shoulder sweep while sitting or a complete spread out over my pillow for the unteased undercare of directional placement for body the next day. Results- a healthy and beautiful natural set with minimal stress and training to absorb now (moisture) hold on to that little bit of curl at the tips with a small tuck under the clip and then a loose wide tooth brush or comb of fingers through a complete and soft beautiful and strong Crown of my own hair that I am able to change any time with just a Cut or not, just a trim and a bounce out the door so I can play with it later without breaking the bank, or my skin OUT with a ton of ways to try to keep some other stylist's ART work alive on my head... I know- I probably created my own untamely locks since they absolutely will drop a curl as quickly as I twist a straight lock of hair around my own finger. I asked a woman once, why would someone extend their absolutely beautiful body of curly locks with a hot press and then braid it up into a high maintenance hold just to display the absolute Same amount of body and volume in an otherwise unnatural hold with a different grade of hair. But I guess my thoughts on curly and unruled hair is different because I struggle to hold my own hair in curls... I think curls are absolutely amazing and beautiful, maybe moreso than my own straight and plain, flat but healthy set of hair.
