Beautiful video Pen! I had a couple of questions if you wouldn't mind answering them. 1. How do y'all do your time-lapses? 2. How were y'all able to make the rain look that way at 5:48? Did y'all increase the shutter and boost iso? 3. What lense were you using from 8:40 to 9:02 for the reception shots? And how are y'all able to get that really cool blur in those shots? I've seen this in a lot of your videos especially with the Bride and Groom when you are outside with them.

I'm obviously not the filmmaker here, but I'd venture a guess and say they're doing a lot of free lensing or "lens whacking" during the reception. Also, Lensbaby makes lenses that are great for this purpose.

Thanks Andrew! Some timelapses we do with an intervalometer, some with the built-in Sony app (can be downloaded and installed on Sony cameras). Yeah I assume the look you're talking about with the rain is the look we get from a high shutter speed... no need to boost ISO if it's bright outside. Many would use an ND filter when it's bright but we personally like the look of a high shutter. And Michael is correct, that's the free-lensing that we taught at the retreats. :-)

So good, as always! Random question: I notice that (in the rare instance that I can see one of you in the shot), you rarely use the viewfinder on your A7Sii. You're always composing the shot through the eyepiece. Is there a reason for this?
@PenWeddings6 жыл бұрын
You're not supposed to spot us! LOL ;-) We actually use both quite a bit, but I find I'm able to judge focus and exposure better using the eyepiece, especially if it's bright where we're shooting.

Ha! I'm constantly looking for you guys to figure out where you place yourselves for angles! You make it look like you have so many more shooters than just the two of you! Bravo!
