Haha- I just came to this video from watching my first of your videos- the one about why irises don't bloom. I'm glad the peony is the flower of 2024 because I have about 50 of them and am still growing a collection. So... they'll be the flower of my 2025, 26, 27... ........gardens too!

Marlene I love this plant. Unfortunately for me it has been a it and miss. I planted some years ago, sometimes they show up and sometimes they don't. There seems to be doing much better this year I'm watching to see what the blooms will be like. Thanks for the information 👍🏻. I will try the hydrogen peroxide on my roses 🌹🌹 . I live in the mid-Atlantic with clay soil with some mica and a lot of worms 🙂. I read on several of the peony growers' websites that herbaceous peonies do fine in heavy clay soils. I do not amend my soil and the peonies are thriving I grow heirloom varieties.. Apparently the hybrids that bloom earlier are not as happy with clay. I only have a few hybrids and did loose one because of the clay and drainage ( I think) so I'm not getting any more of those. I don't grow tree peonies or ITOH peonies so I can't say for them.

very pretty, my Mother grew Peonies but that is one plant I can say I have never tried to grow! great tips Marlene, since this is the year for Peonies I should try a few but don't know where I could put them, excellent video
