It has been almost two decades since Communist East Germany collapsed, together ith its system of spies and informants. Now, many of the former secret police agents want the files closed. They sue individuals, newspapers, exhibition curators, and even the government office in charge of the files whenever the names behind aliases are revealed. They say its time to draw a line under the past. They contend their privacy is being violated. And German courts sometimes even rule in their favor. We show examples of this campaign of intimidation and talk with experts on media rights and with staff from the agency that processes the Stasi files.

This sums up the lengths they will go to to go to hide themselves. And shows that it hasn't stopped... they are still stalking victims. How did he/she even know about his site and home address? This is something the stalkers lawyer fails to divulge

Only in certain states from what i can gather, The comment from Xander below from 11 years ago is spine chilling. That this really will be all over the United States sometime soon. I knew our politics were getting out of control & saw the ANTIFA stuff and put it together that even after all the damage they caused the Federal bureau of investigation would not designate them a domestic terrorist organization. but i had no idea that it was going to lead to a massive upscale of the program. the difference between what the Germans went through and what we are going through from my research is staggering.

If they can prosecute people for allegedly working as an office clerk for the SS during WW2 decades after the war ended, then they can prosecute or at least publicly shame Stasi criminals. Also, even if they were just following orders and not doing anything illegal under East German law, they should still be prosecuted like how many German officers were prosecuted after WW2 for following orders. Of course, the Nuremberg trials were primarily built around winners' justice.

I am just beginning to learn about things like the Stazi and what life was like for people in East Germany following WW2. Frankly I feel a great sense of sorrow that East Germans endured further suffering after Hitlers rule was finally overthrown and hope that they are beginning to finally enjoy freedom, prosperity and a sense of normality. I am sure many other countries such as Poland, Hungary, Lithuania, Estonia and so forth must have breathed a huge sigh of relief to finally gain their independence from communism.

It is unbelievable to me that the perpetrators have the gall to ask that their deeds be forgotten when they did so much damage to other people's lives. I am a Targeted Individual in the United States and the same tactics are now being used here against a small minority of us. And according to one TI, the powers that be will extend this system to the whole population. I hope he wins his case.

Perhaps one person will get something out of this but I'm going through something like this right now and I'm right here in the good old US of A. The Stasi had a reputation of being the most powerful and effective police force ever because it wasn't just about surveillance it was about what they could do to you psychologically which is far worse than what they could do to you physically and they figured that out. Guess what, so has this country. I was a whistleblower and I'm not likely to be able to read my file. What I tried to expose was corruption on a local scale but it turns out that all governments cover for each other and people are connected. What happens to you when the program known as organized stalking harassment is you experience a social death and in order to make sure of that your communications are all filtered and you can't go anywhere without somebody being right there with you they will interfere with any of your relationships or perspective relationships; jobs and perspective jobs; and since you're followed 24/7 there's nothing they won't know about you. You will experience total isolation except for when they try and send confederates at you. The true aim is to have you take your own life or to make you so miserable that you just curl up into a ball and wither away. I understand that none of this makes sense to any of you but it's a warning and the program is in its infancy and something that they're going to unleash on the public so just keep it in the back of your mind. You would think would see plethora of platforms that I should be able to get some word out there but some cognitive issues and they do things that are designed just to waste your time and keep you busy with whatever crisis they come up with and there will always be one. Just keep in mind they are aware of wherever you are and whatever you're doing.

There is one element here that I do not understand: The absence of personal and physical revenge by those who were spied/informed/snitched upon. Perhaps I am looking across the cultural divide of German vs. the US, but I am confident that if it had been Americans who were the subject of reporting that disrupted their marriages, occupations, and educational possibilities some would have extracted pay-back in the form of .45 caliber or 9-millimeter cartridges. I am not aware that anyone has been physically attacked by someone on whom they were reporting on in the former East Germany. In the words of Sherlock Holmes, "Why is this dog not barking?" Any psychological or sociological insights out there?

my theory is that a lot of mass shootings that have happened in the past are due to the rise in Gang-stalking related activities. Interestingly enough they just redefined the definition of a mass shooting. They also did that the same with the word recession in economic settings :|

It's going on nowadays too and no one's able to do anything about it (targeted individuals). If you do any "reactive abuse" as it's called, you'll be arrested or put in a psych ward. So the victim just sits there getting their life destroyed because if they complain about it the psychologists and psychiatrists will gaslight and smear them with psych labels as they've been trained to do. There's so really awful things going on, people can't even live in their own homes anymore due to constant noise harassment and "frequency abuses" to put it vaguely.
