"People Are Funny" was a television game show that originally ran from 1954 to 1961. Art Linkletter was the original host of the show. The format of the show involved various comedic stunts, audience participation, and hidden-camera pranks to entertain the viewers. Contestants were put in humorous and sometimes awkward situations, while the show highlighted the unpredictability of the contestants. Art Linkletter pulled the most outlandish gags imaginable in this early Game Show TV series. Art helps a young couple lease a bungalow in Hollywood, and secretly has house movers literally steal the house. Mr. and Mrs. Hunter come back to the show and exclaim the house is gone! AND...the worlds most bashful man is helped when his dream girl is brought to the audience and Art acts as matchmaker. Complete network show as aired in 1955 with commercials for paper Mate pens, White Rain Shampoo and ViV soft touch lipstick. Transferred from 16mm b-w film.

These were the best shows. The entire family would watch this show, and there was nothing that a 4 year old couldn't see on this show, but was entertaining for the adults, too. It was so wonderful to gather round the TV, with Mother, Daddy, my 2 big brothers, and two big sisters to watch this show.

In the late 1950s, I recall watching this show as well as "kids Say the Darndest things." WHERE IS PART TWO!

I wish I knew where more episodes are...From Wikipedia: People Are Funny rarely had celebrities, focusing instead on everyday people. As a result, few recordings of the show were saved.
