There is nothing more dangerous than a non-elected agency dictating business decisions. They have zero accountability and even less knowlege about successful business operations as demonstrated in this clip.

Why does CARB get to determine regulations for the country?
@stevieRay3211
@stevieRay3211 13 күн бұрын
Like the EPA and many other alphabet soup departments, Democrats use them to install regulations without Congressional approval. Just another way to get around the voters and Congressional oversight. Politicians and parties come and go, the Deep State is for life.

These people are all about spending money. Her answer is they’ll get an incentive from the government. Who is going to pay for that?
@robertbeard230
@robertbeard230 15 күн бұрын
That’s generally the answer you get from all of them… “How will this work?” “We’ll write it into law so it has to work!” “And what if it’s too expensive?” “We’ll increase taxes/print more money!” “What if it puts people, companies, or entire sectors out of business?” “The government will give them money/(lower paying) jobs/Burger King gift cards!” I remember one hearing where someone was asked what blue collar workers in the US are supposed to do when their entire industry is shut down and outsourced. The answer given was, “They could always be an Uber driver or work at a convenience store.” These people operate under the assumption that “the law” can mandate economic success, that the US has unlimited money (even Biden’s top advisers have claimed this), that inflation is ONLY caused by corporate greed, and that working at a gas station for $12/hr of driving for Uber for $40 a day is precisely the same as working in the oil industry for $90K or working as a manufacturing engineer for $150K. These people are so out of touch that they literally believe that anyone who doesn’t make multi-million dollar decisions behind a desk in a corporate office is equally equally poor, and that they’re also equally expendable (individually or as a whole). If you asked them where our ancestors would’ve found their food if they weren’t allowed to hunt or fish, they’d tell you they could’ve gone to the market to buy the meat instead of harming the animals. The logic doesn’t matter. This is all about forcing an entire continent to comply with their demands, and they don’t care that the bottom 95% will suffer so the top 0.5% can benefit from their investments. After all, that’s what’s driving a good portion of these initiatives. It’s insider trading. They invest heavily into one supply chain or another, then pass laws that require every citizen, company, government agency, and NGO buy new things or services that directly affect those investments.

It's called budget maintenance. If they don't spend what's been given to them, they won't get as much in the next funding cycle. It's all about keeping their jobs and nothing more....
@robertbeard230
@robertbeard230 15 күн бұрын
@@bill3641 … except that the left has been routinely exceeding their budget as if the money doesn’t matter. It’s easy to shrug and carry on when the budget for something doubles, but only when you’re spending someone else’s money. If they were required to stay within their budget that would be ideal, but they’re not; instead, they start with idealism, shoehorn in pet projects and agendas, build a budget around making those things happen, claim the whole planet will roast if they don’t get every cent they want, then they’ll somehow go over budget by 20-200%. After all, this is the same type of initiative that put over $7 Billion dollars towards a “nationwide network of EV chargers”, but only seven of said chargers were built, and none of them work. The money’s gone, funneled off into pockets and god knows where else, nobody can account for it, nobody HAS to account for it, and we have absolutely zero to show for it. Do you want to know what the “next step” is? The same people who fought long and hard to get that $7B+ for those seven (7) useless parking spaces have turned around and decided that instead of launching an investigation into what went wrong, that the solution is to continue shoveling money into that dump truck. They consider that project a raging success, because it was never about saving the planet or building chargers or incentives to the public. It was about siphoning off as much money as possible and laundering it into their pockets. Where else could that much money go without anything to show for it whatsoever?

It doesn't cost bureaucrats or politicians anything to push for these outrageous requirements. They really couldn't care any less if businesses are going to go out of business. They'll still have their gov jobs with their benefits and will never be held accountable for what they've said or done.

I grew up in California, what CARB has done has been a painful resolve for us all but a net positive. Now CARB needs to be dissolved for the next 50 years at the minimum. Let the rest of the world come to equilibrium, the regulations of 1 state aren't that effective. They have been given power they no longer deserve or required.

What the transport industry needs to do have a adopted a truck plan , this is where all carb members get paired with a compliant truck & when that truck breaks down you send a car to p/u carb member & carb member gets to mimic what the driver of broken down vehicle driver does , if the vehicle is a 100 miles at 2:00 in the morning carb member gets the same & gets to pay half of the repair bill , tjis bs would be over over night , any takers ???💥💥
