I grew up in Jakarta and had the privilege of attending an international school. I first visited Bali back in 1988 and fell in love with the island. After leaving Indonesia in 1995 to attend college in the US, I’ve been fortunate to visit Bali a few times since. But it’s definitely changed over the years. I miss the days of trekking down to Dreamland with my buddies, surfing all day with no one else around. Is Double Six still around?

Re: the 1st interviewee (German guy) - what he said about the trash was true. I went to Bali some years ago, during Christmas holidays. There was so much plastic rubbish in Kuta beach. The water was brown & I didn't like my experience in the beach. A couple of young people started gathering rubbish from the sea (they came with large trash bags). After seeing them, many of us followed - we picked up trash too. However, even though we had filled up several garbage bags, there were still so much trash in the sea. A friend told me that during the time of my visit, it was when the tides brought the trash from Java island. Aside from the trash issue, I enjoyed my brief visit to Bali. I want to visit again to visit some sights that I didn't see last time. Terima kasih to the great Indonesian people.

Probably because the locals doesn't make that much. Also the reason why locals complaining about bules driving it's not because the driving part, but because how they are driving. Most of them shirtless, being crazy, drunk, on party mode driving , that's what the locals hates

Interesting that mama Loulou had a stomach bug issue because around a week ago in Phuket something similar was going down and Sean King who you are familiar with mentioned in a video uploaded yesterday (filmed around a week before) about the risk from consuming ice cubes so stopped that himself. Anti biotics were mentioned and the virus believed to be Norovirus. Maybe it is a widespread issue right now. Safe trip home to mama Loulou and see you again in the future hopefully reunited with the family roots. Stay champ, champs 🤩
