I do some DIY stuff at home but on a much smaller scale and I have a hard time soldering stainless and copper together. Always seems it doesn't want to stick to the stainless. Nice work Adam.

No way that solder is making a good bond to the stainless any amount of pressure will show you that it would fail under pressure a threaded connection would be stronger and not fail solder copper to copper mechanical connection for copper to stainless

@@RandallMartin-zx6yd well, idk what to tell other than 10 years of experience says otherwise. Not to mention all the other companies that have been doing to same for a decade + Even if you were right ( which I don’t believe you are) stills rarely reach 5psi. And if for some reason there’s a blockage most companies use a pressure release valve that pops off at 5psi. So, I respectfully, while heartedly disagree.

@copperstillco you are doing nothing to. That stainless flange that solder isn't penatrating nothing on the stainless side only thing holding it in is how tight of a fit you had and the silver solder as a filler but as for a bo d between the stainless and the copper there's none if you think you can try soldering a straight stick of copper to a stick of stainless no. FITTINGS just pipe to pipe solder and pipe no FITTINGS good luck you should be able to I can solder two copper pipes together with no FITTINGS just a standard beveled end not knocking your work but your not scratching that stainless with that setup

@@RandallMartin-zx6yd This is an ancient video when I worked for another company. Yes, correct, there wasn’t anything done to the stainless. We were never taught that there. But I do, do that. There’s never been an issue. That speaks to something. Withstands at least 140 PSI no problem. 🤷🏻‍♂️

@@RandallMartin-zx6yd also. I solder a straight stick of copper to a stainless end cap ask the time. Never tried the stainless tube to copper tube. However. I have done copper to copper pipe no fitting. That was years ago though. Go check out more of my content on TikTok. I have more there.
