How does someone forget something in a microwave FOR A FRICKIN' WEEK??
@laceygracey02 жыл бұрын
I have done it! 🤣 I don't use the microwave very often at all. My daughter wanted leftovers one day, (which was a once in a lifetime occurrence) right before I made dinner and I went to switch over laundry, started folding it, got busy, she was playing with her leap pad, and apparently wasn't that hungry because she forgot too.

have done this, was travelling, forgot breakfast in the microwave the day before leaving. I think I did something similar at college over winter break my second year. have also left breakfast in the microwave and remembered halfway to work. dogs were happy about this one--texted the first person to be home and the girls got it. felt bad but hey my pup seemed to not mind.

for a birthday at work my mother (she worked by night in a small clinic) had cooked a cake at home, when she arrived at work her and her colleagues decided it was a good idea to warm a little the cake while while visiting their patients and when they came back to the clinic's kitchen (where they used to eat) they found the cake's topping strange...it was the candles. Another fun story about my mother's abilities to cook : she had prepared a chocolate cake and the cake was strangely....nearly liquid (but edible)....she had forgotten flour

If you make dishes to put in the freezer to bake later, put in a 1 or 2 gallon freezer bag and freeze flat. When you are ready, bake it in a metal pan. Despite what they tell you, Pyrex can’t handle the temp changes like you think it can.

A co-worker once put popcorn in the microwave in the lunchroom, pressed 20 minutes, not 2, left the room and promptly for got about it. The stench of incinerated popcorn and burned microwave was what alerted everyone to the problem. The entire office, basically the entire floor of the building smelled like burned popcorn for weeks. The lunch room was the worst. He bought a new microwave and a memo came out that no popcorn was to be cooked in the lunchroom.

Janet Duncan, me too. My great-grandmother and later my grandmother taught me how to cook and bake (simple stuff, and always supervised) as soon as I could handle it without injuring myself. We didn't have many kitchen appliances; food was chopped, whipped, and stirred by hand. I am forever grateful for those kitchen sessions. It's sad that many of us don't have the time anymore (except for holidays) to make meals from scratch.

You can microwave hard boiled eggs. You just have to cut it open, or poke a few holes so air can escape. I made the mistake three times. First I was younger and did not know, the other two times I just forgot. When I took it out, laid it on the counter and proceeded to cut it, it blew up on the ceiling, all the way to the other side of our massive kitchen, and a bit of egg was found the living room and even back into the microwave. The worst part was the smell of eggs and the air giving the house a raw scent. You can microwave eggs, just make sure air can escape, and be sure to microwave eggs seven to ten seconds at a time until you get the consistency you desire. I boil my eggs in a pot on the stove but there are those times where it's not cooked enough and needs some nuking.
