Something similar happened to me. I met a girl when she was 3 years old and a neighbor's daughter. I was sort of the older brother. Through her younger years, I taught her several skills such as ice skating, roller skating and learning to play a guitar, etc. over the years, we connected sometimes. Later years, I ran into her in FL when she was a district manager for a food chain. We went to a few events together and an occasional lunch/dinner. I then moved back north. 2 years ago, she had retired early and also moved back north. We reconnected at a mutual friend's birthday party. We married 6 months ago. Fate had a plan for us that neither of us ever realized.

I hadnt seen my girl best friend in 15 years. I know we were still close because last year i came in contact with her mother again and she apprently didnt stop talking about me saying when can i see my best friend again. Move forward to February of this year i planned a trip to near where she lived without her knowing of course, i messaged her mother to say meet at her favourite resturant near the beach which they did, little did she know i was in the same building as her, so i pretended to be a waiter, she recongnised me straight away but i carried on acting like a waiter and she kept saying are you Lewis becuase i had a little disguise on which obviously did nothing, so i then revealed it was me and we went from there and ive never knwon someone to jump from a chair so quick in my life. Now i talk to her everyday since.
