I am a Jumper (bad at jibs). It didn't start that way. I wanted to be good at both. But then I got older, enjoyed jumping more, and didn't love taking rails to the knees. Okay, I admit it. I love impressing shit out of gapers at 3:00 P.M. doing a cab underflip when all of the real shredders have packed up and gone home. I am 41. It's the only little treat I can give to my fragile ego.

I knew I was going to get this feedback; I was trying to find footage of other snow yappers who are "safer" to make fun of, but I clicked on 4 vids without finding any "damning" footage of someone yapping in a busy park or area. Tommie worked on one KZbin search even though I have definitely saved his IG vids to learn tricks. His tips are very helpful. I don't think it's bad (EVIL) cause videos of yapping do serve a good purpose in snowboarding, but I still stand by that it takes a unique type (psychotic as I said in my vid) to be able to yap to a camera in public. Nothing wrong with "psychotic" people imo, my favorite friends are psychotic Filming random people on chair lift for a monologue is very uncomfortable. I don't believe Tommie has done this, but I could be wrong. I was going to add a blurb about this during my edit process, but I was lazy so doing it now.

Working Park Crew my first month has been awesome. I get to ride more than any other person on the mountain. You gotta be able to slam hard and still shovel the park, and watching hundreds of kids go off the side of your takeoffs does kinda suck, but watching everyone have a good time makes up for it all!

jo nice video. Because of the „cool fit guy that sucks“…I lived too far away from the mountains to be good at park skiing. (just got a car and park skies) I look like I can cork 7 but I am actually starting with all the park stuff this year. Boxes, 180s and all that basic stuff. And I think this is okay. I love the sport and the style/steez and I think I shouldn’t wait several years just to wear ski outfits that are related to my park skills. Because I try as hard as possible to improve as much as I can in that very limited time at the mountain. If that is not the case like…I think that type of a snowboarder/skier is a poser. Looks cool but sucks and is not really trying to improve to be related to the fit

The side hitters are more of a traffic hazard. They don’t use the line properly and end up cutting people off and swerving across other lanes of traffic going much faster than the zone was intended for. Trying to manage traffic flow in the park is probably the hardest part of the job as park staff that often gets overlooked when the homies complain about the new park build. Ruining the hand-built takeoffs is more just extremely frustrating. Especially for someone with a lot of attention to detail. I feel like I have ocd with my handbuilt lips because once they lose shape they’re never getting it back
