Finally! It's been 84 year since we have waited for a video like this. It was almost scary that you haven't said anything about it yet. The season has been great. Now the interesting part will be if we get the massive cliffhänger in the end and what they will do afterwards. Announce something right away or later. And if they do what will it be. While a season would be fine, the best thing in my opinion would be Vol.20 movie and then a season after that with Vol.21/22 plus some encore stories from Vol.10/11 to finish the story in a nice way.

I have no real problems with this season. Mio is 1 of those characters that really made me feel like things were 100% hopeless. Thank god Wescots' back story didn't drag on. Normally, a backstory takes up the whole episode, & it feels like a chor to watch sometimes. Kurumi felt more human & down to earth (especially compared to s1) Had I not watched your character analysis video on Tohka years ago, her briefly coming back would have been much more impactful for me as an anime only.

I think one thing that makes a good harem anime, is that even if you take away the harem and ecchi parts, there's still an interesting story there that's worth following. Too many people just write off shows as nothing but fan service and miss out on what is actually a good one.

Date A Live was one of the first few dozen anime’s I watched back in 2012 or 2013 (I don’t remember which year). While I did start to like it less as time went on the later half of season 4 and everything we have from this current season has brought my interest levels back to when I first watched season 1. I still remember really wanting to see how the story was going to end and now all these years later we’re reaching the true end point. Given how long it takes to make anime I’d say a season 6 would come out in 2026 or 2027. Though there’s a chance we could get it next year if they made it as a second half to this current season.

I'm going to be really quick and say this I am really enjoying season 5. I like how consistent it's been going throughout the episodes that I've been watching how the characters have been growing throughout especially our main character and the back stories that we've seen are really really well done. I do have some issues like I'm not a big fan of the use of CGI during a good chunk of the fights, some moments should have been a little bit better handled and brief spoilers but I don't like how certain characters got immediately beat thanks to a certain character. But I do enjoy how everything is going full circle and I can't wait to see how this fifth season ends!

Small details like how in season 1, Kotori blackmailed Shido with a photo of him in his chunnibyou phase, Tonomachi being jealous of Shido, and stuff up to season 5. This is especially true in the season 3 final episode where an entire arc is crammed into a single episode.

For me, season 3 was the turning point for the lore as we learned how Origami became so obssessed with Shido I was surprised and amazed and went down the rabbit hole to learn more about Day A Live lore I ended up spoiling the story for myself but was still amazed by the lore that came after Season 3 and continued watching the show till now

Mio angel looks amazing and powerful though Reine astral Dress was the hottest and Beautiful ( mature) . Kurumi and shido kiss twice 😚😚. What an ending! And remember; "Only the 'my honey' part of that was accurate!!!" Kurumi, you tsundere, you're not fooling any of your clones OR your fans! Really great moment. Regarding the Spirits defeating Mio, had Kurumi and Mukuro paired their powers, I think they had the best chance. Remember, power is meaningless if time isn't moving, and Kurumi can manipulate time, and Mukuro is really powerful.

If I had to say what is the best part of the series is the characterization of the characters. It makes us really care about all of the girls and Shindo, and so on. That is something most "harem anime" don't do, which is why I have never viewed Date A Live as a harem anime....well to be honest it is why I first avoided watching the show, but I am glad I changed my mind and gave it a watch, and found out it is so much more.
