One of but not the only reason people are choosing not to have kids is because of the state of the world. People don't want to raise kids when the world is in utter chaos and gets increasingly more dangerous every single day. Then you have the internet which prevents social interaction on a personal level and finding a mate even more difficult. People, especially the young whom grew up with the internet, have a tremendous difficulty compromising , communicating, and forming long term bonds, staying in relationships and keeping their commitments. This younger generation is known as the loneliest generation because they can't find a compatible person to marry in order to even think of having a family. and with the price of food, and the inability to even pay rent, they aren't even considering having children when in order to survive they have no choice but to live with mom and dad. The decrease in population is multifaceted and there are many reasons why its happening, but you can sum it up by saying its the state of the world. Life is exceedingly difficult for a lot of us and from the looks of things its only going to get worse.

I agree. I always wanted to adopt 'unwanted' children, but I can't afford too. I'm struggling to feed myself, and I'm officially homeless, (although I have a place to stay for now). I love adoption because it gives kids another chance at finding home, but I hate that it's a business, and the children are treated as a commodity. They should just look for good and decent people who are able to take care of kids, and let them adopt them without fees.

I see so many people commenting about the cost of living...did Jesus not tell as to look at the birds that do not plant seeds to harvest but is still looked after by the Father? No human baby's natural conception or birth is possible without the presence, protection and will of the Lord, just look at the women from the times before Jesus was born. Jesus told us that we are worth more than the sparrow and that the Father is aware of each bird as it hops around, is born or passes away but that He even knows the number of hair we have at all. Jesus instructed us to, above all else, seek the will of the Lord and His Kingdom because He already knows what our physical needs are. The question is not just about why there are so few younger people but rather "Where has the people that believes in the Lord God Almighty and His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ gone?"

Getting approved to adopt a child cosrs $30,000 - $45 000 in fees to the state for invasive and demean8ng inspections madated by law and billed to the would be parents, who have to pay even of they are declined as unfit. You are grilled as if you just trafficked thousands of kids when all you want to do is adopt one. The state wants c8ntrol of these kids forever until the day they turn 18 & are thrown out like they were trash. If you try to move out of state they get upset & they don't like allowing military people to adopt because we "move too much" and the child "won't have a stable home life." The cost to adopt is ridiculous. Adoption advocacy groups need to push back against this, the nitpicking, invasinve, debasing treatment of prospective adoptive parents...it'stime.for reasonable inspections and respectful interviews without accusations.

It doesn't take much more than a mother to raise a baby to a child and a father to provide food and protection. I realize as of covid lockdowns everything has gotten 100% more expansive. I realize they are taking away private property ownership and small business away from the people. Nevertheless, mothers taking care of their own children means no daycare bill, and healthier children, and breastfeeding means no costly formula. Feed the mother and feed the baby. You dont need career clothes and 2 cars if you take care of your own child until they get old enough to be apart, like 7 yrs, first grade. If life isnt worth living for the next generation, life isnt worth living for the grown ups now. But somehow people alive today, no matter how much they complain, still think their life is worth living and worth having a future. But not for young people?????

There is no more domestic violence in Australia now than in earlier decades. If anything there is less. Domestic violence in earlier decades went unreported and was not considered a crime, the only time police got involved was if someone was killed. I'm old enough to remember the "scandal " when the first women sued her husband for rape. It was like the granting of equal pay , the headlines in both cases made it sound like the end of the world was happening. That's exactly what the same with the domestic violence headlines today and also the fact that politicians are making political mileage from it, should tell you, it being used for political gain and to distract us from what is really happening here in Australia . The population will continue to increase for a few years, but then it will level out. And then some time this century, there will globally be more old people than people still capable of having kids. You need to buy them clothing every year or so, as they grow out of their clothing. You can hand the clothing down, but that has a chance of causing minimal psychological harm for some children to have to wear their older siblings old clothing. You have to be able to transport them safety, and legally. Bus fare is high, and car seats and car maintenance/upkeep is high! Naked children living in a cave would probably get the authorities out, and they would take your kids away.

People do not want to have children because of the horrible state of our world, the U.S. and NATO keeping the world in unwanted wars. With the collapse of the U.S. Economy, people aren't stupid, why bring children into the world when one cannot afford a comfortable home, have good natural food to feed your family, and of course, there is no respect between members of families, who have not been taught to work together to provide all the needs. If countries want their populations to survive and thrive, the governments must begin programs where people learn survival tactics, creating communities that work together and share resources, instead of leaders lining their pockets with most of the funds, money laundering the only process they are thoroughly competent at. If we are to survive, the land and all resources must be distributed equally, with every family having land, natural seeds to grow healthy crops and natural means. It’s sad. So many babies aborted. I had two children and no grandchildren. I have two siblings who didn’t have children. My siblings who did have children only had two each. Only 4 nieces and nephews had two children each. I only had 6 first cousins on my mothers side , none on my fathers side. I have a very small family.
