These customers could have prevented getting the "junk items" if they actually bothered to read item descriptions and look at more that just 1 picture of the product. I guarantee you most if not all of these products had detailed descriptions and measurements of the products that no one bothered to read because they just saw 1 picture of something and thought "I need that! I'm gonna buy it right now!"

Recently a friend of mine's grandson (12yo) wanted nerf guns and nerf grenades. I watched the video for the latter and it was pretty lame, especially for a tween. So I didn't get it.

First thing,ordered a chest of drawers,received a fleece hat and scarf.Ordered a 'kraken'mug holder,received a 'wellness ' therapy mat,from a totally different company,who had no record of my details,let alone the goods..a pack of 48 cans of cat food,sent a picture of the front door,which was my neighbours door,said it was my door because it was brown..- Just a few so far....

I, too, have been ripped off by these scams. Returning things is impractical, so you just have to laugh. With over 3000 ebay purchases, I have been scammed about 6 times. My favourite was a teapot whose spout fell off while I opened the package. Poorly glued on, so the seller did this deliberately. They knew it was broken before they mailed it. Caveat emptor (buyer beware) 😂

This happened to me once with a glass teapot that was meant as a gift, and it even had pictures of a girl pouring tea with this amazing, normally big, elegant glass teapot. I opened the package and.. it was as big as a kitkat...... 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Damn!

I buy a few things on line because it's getting to the point were most shops are going online But think about it ...1 it costs more online you pay postage unless you spend over a certain amount then its free ( encouraging you to spend more ) if you have to send anything back you don't get postage back so it's not really free returns so in the long run shopping on line actually costs you more, 😊

Depends what you're buying. Lots of things are cheaper online even taking into account postage and many clothing webstores offer free postage even on low value orders or will refund the postage along with the item cost. They want you to come back after all.

Shopping on Amazon is perfectly fine as long as you're not an idiot. Read the description, read the reviews, if it seems too good to be true then it is. Literally the only thing I don't buy online is groceries and yet I've managed to never get ripped off.
