Guy in the last story, is actually a massive asshole. Basically, his guild did nothing wrong and, in fact, honored and promoted him. For him to decide that since he personally was done playing that he was gonna destroy all of the guilds resources in a way that likely can never be recovered is diabolical, and not in a fun way. He basically said, "I want you to all know i never cared about anyone's progress but my own."

Yeah, that's some next-level selfishness. He really hit them with the “If I’m out, I’m taking everything down with me” mentality. Not exactly the team player you want in your corner.

Not to be annoying but how was he an asshole? Sorry to sound like one of “those” people but in the long run, world of Warcraft is just a game and how you play it doesn’t really affect you or your teammates lives IRL. I think it was good that he wanted to step away from playing if he felt that the game took over his life and made him avoid his responsibilities.

@@christie2271- You may not understand how that game works. So I will tell you. It can takes weeks and sometimes MONTHS of hard work to get one rare item. Real serious hard work, AND team of 20 to 30 real people working together just to get one rare item. It's an actual investment of time. These items are stored in the guild (club) vault. Only trusted members have access to the vault. It's fine if he wanted to quit the game but he had no Right to destroy the hard work of everyone in the guild (club) by getting rid of the rare items everyone worked hard for. Still don't get it? Well Imagine if I took your laptop and smartphone and threw them in a fire and they were destroyed. You just lost all your photos and videos. But what's the big deal? You can just make more photos and videos right? Or buy a new smartphone. I think you get it now.

@@TheBigExclusive ohhh I get it now. I apologize for sounding ignorant in my last comment but it’s just that I’m not knowledgeable about games like world of Warcraft. And I hope to god that nobody will ever destroy my laptop and smartphone. And even if god forbid it happens, (which I hope it won’t, knock on wood) I still have A LOT of my photos and videos backed up onto google photos, which I can access from pretty much any device. And I have a flash drive with some other pics and vids that are not on google photos (but seriously, someone destroying someone else’s laptop and smartphone is still shitty and I hope that won’t ever happen to me. I will heavily guard these electronics so nothing bad can ever happen to them!

My former friend/colleague learned this one the hard way about me. Let's just say, it's always the people who swear they'll never hurt you who eventually end up doing just that. Cliff notes version: she stole my intellectual property, tried to pass it off as their own and was fast tracked for a successful bump in her career to a much higher level. Well, I came with receipts. I had documented proof that the work was mine outright and evidence of the paper trail she left behind in her wake. The irony of it all? She probably would have gotten away with it if she had kept her smug bragging mouth shut. To make a long story short, everything blew up in her face and she tried to play the victim. Once everyone turned their backs on her, disgraced and enraged, she concocted a smear campaign against me. I'm not at all surprised that she took zero accountability for her actions and I was even less surprised that she was too damn dim to realize that she had committed defamation of character in the form of slander and libel. It took threatening to out her as a backstabbing, lying grifter with zero skills or talent. If there's one thing I've learned working in the arts world: it's that narcissists absolutely fear having their false personas shattered to pieces. She disappeared, most likely, having crawled back down to whatever circle of hell from which she had emerged. I haven't had any contact with her in almost eleven years and if I never see her again, it will be too soon.

That World of Warcraft story is just… REALLY fucked up. So because YOU decided you hate the game, you had to destroy YEARS of progress for who knows how many other players? That is some of the most vile and heartless behavior I’ve ever heard of in a game.

That’s me. I’ve been called the Nicest, innocent, and pure hearted person you have ever met. But I kind of broke and started wearing a “mask” (I’m just pretending to be nice). My classmates thought it was a fun idea to see if the nice person (me) brakes. I’m planning a revenge on EVERYBODY, but it might take some years. I’m still a nice person, but I’m broken. Sometimes I think I have a split personality, one nice and one not nice

I was a nice person then I got fed up. So now I act like a “bad guy” scowls glares ect. I don’t like to have “boundaries” so it’s either I’m nice or I seem mean to keep people away. but when I first started I used to white lies I was so honest everyone believed them when I noticed people doing things they Teally shouldn’t have and “sicking the dogs” on them. they’re complaining about us turned into they’re complaining about us and are planning to tell our boss how bad we are. Was it right? No but a nice person finds their way at fighting back in their own ways when they’re fed up

Normally have no problem with doing my job provided my employer gives me the basic tools to do it, and maintains it. Last June the main dish sink broke at work, and was flowing out like a geyser. You couldn't even discharge soap or sanitizer with it. I got fed up enough I actually walked out. I got caught up on what was there but it was such a pain in the ass. Had to use the plastic trays we have to move the burger buns, because it had grates in it to let the water out. Told my boss my brain was basically blue screening over this situation and understood I was probably gonna get a write up but if they got the sink fixed I would at least do my job. They weren't happy with me over what happened and did give my a warning about it. I however did what I said as well, and did my job to the best of my abilities with the equipment on hand.

WoW guy: why? Your guild sounded like they were good people. Why betray them like that? The worst thing I did to a guild was use all my DKP to get the caster trinket from BWL for my balance druid and then I couldn't raid after that because I got a call from my work saying we could come back from all the bs with covid. Felt really bad about taking the trinket after the fact, but, what else could I have done?

idk if this counts but as a kid everybody picked on me. my parents, my siblings, my peers, even teachers. i was a pushover and very meek. you could push me in the mud, help me up, and say sorry and i’d be like ok! we’re friends! this didn’t help since everyone knew id just grin and bear whatever. one day my sister was making fun of me, and as per usual everyone was just laughing and humiliating me. i think i was about 12? i got up, walked over to her, and slapped her across the face as hard as i could. everyone gasped. then i gave a kid a black eye at school for putting a worm in my bra, and slapped another dude for grabbing my butt. the school tried to punish me but my mom wouldn’t allow it lol. i just stopped taking peoples shit at that point. we all have our breaking points and mine was apparently 12 whole years 😅

and if you think it was light teasing, they’d lock me in a closet for hours knowing i was claustrophobic. they’d lock me out and pour water on me from upstairs windows. my sister once chased me with a knife saying she was gonna stab me. her fave nickname for me was “stretch mark sally.” yeah i was barely chubby, but my whole family was skinny and quite vapid/vain.
