@djhorn57696 ай бұрын
With the sort of advancements in air conditioning that it happened over the decades, I don’t buy that excuse either. I live in the Phoenix area, so I should know what the 110° heat feels like. When I was a kid in the 90s, I used to always feel bad for the delivery drivers that drove those old 70s and 80s model postal Jeeps that didn’t have any air conditioning at all. I always wondered how a lot of them made it through the summers like that.
@iarmycombo56596 ай бұрын
@@djhorn5769 i dont think air conditioning works but air flow still does. All they need is an efficent big electric fan and they will feel just fine. Might even feel cold. That just needs to be connected to a large battery, carriable ones can easily last a whole day even for a big and powerful fan. Those type of batteries have normal wall plugs so compatibility is no issue. Car battery might work but im not a mechanic so maybe not. To my understanding your car doesnt start without it but otherwise it just sits there. If i recall correctly its designed to give a large amount of electricity for a small duration when a fan would obviously need a small amount for a long duration so there might be a compatibility issue.
@gtafan17226 ай бұрын
@@iarmycombo5659 probably the easiest solution to atleast try and help the drivers honestly. Fire trucks have been equipped with small fans about the size of your hand attached to the inside roof of the cab for decades. why not use the same thing in delivery trucks if they want to be cheap asses and make their drivers suffer the heat with no ac.

Scientifically, the dark brown color makes the delivery trucks hotter compared to others like white FedEx and USPS trucks because dark colors absorb heat. So probably the solution is to use lighter colors to reflect heat.
@Harv3st6 ай бұрын
Its a lie about A/C being ineffective because of frequent stops. I am a CDL yard jockey that makes very frequent stops to get out of the cab. A/C Works just fine in keeping me cool. Allot of the air does escape when you open and get out of the door, but not all of it. And the A/C gets the cab cooled down extremely fast. The company just doesnt want to pay for putting A/C in all the trucks and deal with the maintance.
