How Allison Janney & Octavia Spencer Went from Crushing on the "Same Guy" to BFFs | PEOPLE

When Octavia Spencer and Allison Janney first met, they did not like each other. In fact, they were crushing on the same guy. But soon realizing they had a similar sense of humor, the two quickly bonded and now their 20-plus years of friendship has carried them through some of life’s biggest ups and downs. “If I’ve had a horrible day, she’s just able to make everything better,” Janney says. Adds Spencer: “Our friendship has lasted so much longer than that guy. It’s true love!”

I have never been a sitcom person, really, but I can't get enough of Mom, and have every available dvd. Janney's delivery is always so spot-on; her tone of voice, her body language, her facial expressions- she totally gets everything that's funny about the situation, and then amplifies it just enough to still be believable (wink, wink), yet make it even funnier.
