There is no secret sauce. There is just love and mutual respect. 14 years with my husband, who is hot AF, but we don't always get along, we don't really fight though. It's a choice to stay together and appriciate the love. And to us it's worth it!

Idk if I'd say "twinning" is common in gay relationships, but it has happened enough to coin the term. And I'd imagine, as with most other reoccurring types of human relationships, it's one of many flavors that's always existed. From the examples I've met in my life, some of the twin couples were definitely rooted in narcissism (just based off their personalities and the behavior I saw), but others were simply rooted in the desire for something that felt familiar and safer in some way. Like does speak to like.
