Stand out performance of the competition even with very minor issues . Chanters wanting to talk, immaculate sweet drone sound as last year. Great to see the band back to last year's form in the end, there's always next year.

Good point. Let's get real minor things are what separated 1st to last. THIS BAND IS IMPRESSIVE. THEY ARE GOOD. ITS HARD SOMETIMES FOR A LOT OF BANDS ARE PLAYING THAT STRATHSPEY I HATE . THE REST I LIKE.DRUM SOUND ISNT GREAT. IN MY OPINION.

They deserved to win the Saturday medley and I’m happy they did (Two 1st’s in piping, 2nd in ensemble, 1st in drumming.)

How do you split Inveraray, SFU and Boghall & Bathgate? Well, I know how the judges did it, but I don't agree. I guess you had to be there...

They got FIFTH place, last year FIRST !!! I don't understand the judging system at all. Is it the intention to not award the same band back-to-back?

No, its not. The results are based on the performances on the day, not on previous placings. Boghall just unfortunately didn't have as strong performances over the four days compared to last year, and landed them fifth. Hoping they have a solid season next year though.
