When the KFC Double Down came out, everyone was thinking it was a handheld heart attack generator. And then the numbers came in on it, and it turned out to be one of the _healthier_ things ever offered in fast food. It had less sodium than a Chick-Fil-A sandwich and fewer carbs than an order of fries from anywhere, and something like _50+ grams_ of protein. And it didn't hurt that they were _absolutely amazing._ They rapidly became popular with bodybuilders because of being almost straight protein.
