As an eastern asian with lots of Filipino friends, it kind of feels weird to see food I grew up with labeled the way it is. I understand the need for content, but never feels too good seeing your childhood dishes used for a challenge ( ´ε｀；). Still fun to see people try new things, but let's not forget that these dishes are cherished by many people!

Europeans have dishes with internal organs like intestines and blood in it too but it rarely gets featured in any of these challenges. Asian hate is so prevalent in the USA right now because of the pandemic and videos where foods from Asia are getting looked down on is adding fuel to the fire. Edit: I'm White. As an American person a lot of the stuff I eat is gross when you get down to it, but I can keep eating it because I've been eating it my whole life. Eating foreign foods and hearing that I'm eating blood curds or "head cheese" is only weird because I didn't grow up eating it and haven't heard of it before.

Lol their reactions are so funny, cant blame though. But you should have given them atleast one kind of vinegar dipping sauce for the isaw and betamax, its a must. Isaw and betamax(looks raw/bloody 😬) are supposed to be grilled and get a little bit charred for the smokey flavor.

I get what you’re saying. I love trying new kinds of food. I think what made it difficult for most people on this show were the videos/asmr they had to watch with it. This channel did an episode like this with pretty common American foods and people still had trouble eating it. I mean most people that are picky eaters like chicken nuggets but the process of how it’s made could be unappetizing.

Head cheese is soooooo god. That is common as christmas here in Norway (allthough you can get it all year) We eat it with mustard and lefse. Yummi. But the norwegian one looks way better than the one they got served. More spices and less aspic/jelly. But the one on the video looked better, than the one they got
