The North Phoenix / Peoria AZ is top notch, the views and actvities are world class and its so expansive. If you like to ride toys, shoot guns, hike, shop, hot air balloons, animal watch, the lake, but the views and the moutains and breezes are better than the SE valley in my opinion. It has 2 of the 10 best zip codes in AZ - 85083 and 85383 - I am not more than 5-10 minutes from anything including freeways, costco or entertainment, the yards are bigger and it's less pressurized than the SE valley.

Definitely Roosevelt Lake is way bigger , but is too far from Peoria, compared to Plez. At least 2 hour drive to Roosevelt lake. But once you are up there you have Apache lake which is a beautiful lake too.

Don’t move to Arizona. Roads are getting too busy and the only main lake is now restricted due to too many people. What’s the point of living in the desert if you can’t access water. No more shore line camping. Now have to pay for two days if your an he past 8pm or you get ticketed. No more shore line launching of motor craft. The boat ramp is going to be a shit show and people are bound to get hurt this year due to everyone funneled to the boat ramps. They implemented these restrictions all in the name of COVID 19. Boy did they take advantage of the pandemic.

Hi! We're hoping to be stationed in the phoenix area and we're wondering where the absolute best place to be is.. We're a fam of 4 (2 boys aged 4 and 6 years) and we want to be were there's plenty of stuff to do with good views.... I just cant pick out which place is best.... any advice? Thanks SO much for all your videos!!!

That's hard to narrow down, but I will give you my opinion. Gilbert is a great place to raise a family with plenty to do. South Gilbert has the better schools. South Chandler is also a good place. If you have a healthy budget, North Scottsdale is really nice, with great schools and has amazing views. But it is pricey and it seems like most of the action is in South Scottsdale (I could be wrong since I don't spend too much time hanging out in North Scottsdale). North Peoria, in the West Valley, has the views and the good schools, but it could be a bit of a commute if you or your spouse is working out of the East Valley (closer to Phoenix). I know I didn't give you one BEST place, but it really depends on your budget, where you work, etc. Very hard to pick just one because there are several nice places to raise a family.

the thing that draws me to peoria is the lake.... is there any good water recreation near gilbert? i know it was listed as #1 of best places to live.... it just looks like theres more to do in peoria.... unless im desperately mistaken lol
@LivinOurDreamz
@LivinOurDreamz 6 жыл бұрын
You definitely won’t find a lake like that in Gilbert. If water recreation is major on your list, Peoria wins out.

Arizona Dreamz thank you so much for the help and advice! I've been watching your videos on repeat lol it seems to get in the good schools one is going to have a very large mortgage lol I definitely want to be close enough to water for an easy cool-off, and where there are horseback riding places for trails.. Gilbert served to be about 30 mind on average from everything, which is what we're used to 😊

No trees in Phoenix, just cactus and some palms? I'm thinking Flagstaff. I need to retire from ohio, which do you suggest? Any small affordable cabins anywhere?
@LivinOurDreamz
@LivinOurDreamz 4 жыл бұрын
Flagstaff if you’re looking for more trees and greenery. Although it is on the pricier side, and it depends on your budget when it comes to whether it’s affordable for you or not.

I just visited Prescott from Colorado. So I'm used to trees. It's very beautiful there. I hear 4 seasons but mild winters compared to what we're used to. It's cheaper than Colorado but probably a bit more than Ohio. Anyway, check out Prescott area. See if you like. Cute little town!

I am totally enjoying your family video's. 😀😀😀😀😀, also I was wondering is there snakes, bears or wild cats at any of the places you go ?
@LivinOurDreamz
@LivinOurDreamz 4 жыл бұрын
There can be snakes on the trails. You might hear about a snake hiding in a pool noodle every so often in someone’s backyard, but that isn’t the norm. Bears are mostly in woodland habits. Though you may hear about one wondering around every blue moon. Same with the cats.

How is the weather there in AZ... Do you get all 4 seasons or is it steady climate? Does it get really cold in the winter?
@LivinOurDreamz
@LivinOurDreamz 4 жыл бұрын
It depends on where in Arizona you are. Northern Arizona gets the 4 seasons, Winter weather / snow. Lots of snow in Flagstaff. The summers there are more normal and not triple digits like in the Phoenix area. But if you are in the Phoenix Valley, it rarely gets very cold (can get chilly at night and in the morning during winter months) and you don’t have the change of seasons. But mostly very hot from May-September / October. No “Fall” really. Then cools down during Winter. Spring feels like a normal Summer you would experience in other places.

What is the area like for photographers (family) beauty, etc. What is there to do for single baby boomers?
@LivinOurDreamz
@LivinOurDreamz 6 жыл бұрын
There are plenty of photographers around here of all types. The scenery lends itself to that arena. I'm not in that field so I don't know how successful, but it's a big place so I'm sure there's room for quality photogs. There's plenty of entertainment and things to do. Hiking, golf, Paint and Sips, Scottsdale entertainment district. There's some popular meetup.com groups just for Baby Boomers that you might look into. Great way to meet new friends and find things to do.

This is so awesome. I had NO idea this lake existed there! Have you ever been to Queen Creek? I've heard housing there is cheap because it is so far out, but I would wonder how far it takes to get groceries, entertainment, etc. Is it on your list??
@LivinOurDreamz
@LivinOurDreamz 6 жыл бұрын
There are grocery stores and Queen Creek marketplace for shopping, so it’s not without options. Not sure what the plans are for future growth. It is a bit of a commute to Phoenix, Scottsdale, etc. where most of the action and jobs are. Queen Creek is on my ever growing list of places to visit, so stay tuned!
