I remembered they filmed this scene at my grade school. I took a picture of Richard Pryor and got his autograph. Still have it to this day .RIP R.P.

Most non celebrities stated that Richard Pryor was an accessible person. When he filmed Bingo Long Traveling All Stars and Motor Kings he sat around with the locals while the other cast were standoffish to the people. Richard Pryor is hands down the greatest comedian that ever lived...

I saw this movie with Angela Cuellar(my college sweet heart from Bronx Community College, Bronx, N.Y. during the 1980's), & like every moment we had spent with each other, it was memorable, special, & beautiful. @Bradley12595 "Where was this shot at in Peoria?" On High Street, between Main and Moss. There's a bunch of beautiful old mansions in that block. I did some work in quite a few of those houses years ago. I recognize the old grade school too but can't remember the name of it - it's located not far from the downtown area. -- Lifetime resident of Peoria, IL

To me it looked like Glen Oak Grade school or maybe Von Steuben Grade School
@CaneFu3 жыл бұрын
@@danielt.3152 It is neither as I went to Von Steuben and my cousins went to Glen Oak so I am very familiar with both. This is Irving Grade School located at 519 NE Glendale just outside of the Peoria downtown area. OSF Healthcare Systems, my medical provider, has taken over the old building now.

@Cane Fu. You're 💯 correct 👍.....I started HS in Peoria 1986 & lived there off & on for about 28yrs. Then moved away in 2014 or 15. Oddly I don't really miss Peoria. I do get nostalgia if I go back. But don't have any strong urge or longing to move back....I got laid on High st once 😂 as a teen in that tiny park. With the giant old oak tree. Why am I telling you this? 🤪 🤡

@@michaelbrinks8089I was born in 1955 and so have seen a lot of changes in Peoria since then but there is nothing special about the place. I remain living here because there is nowhere else to go that is more affordable. However, if I hit the lottery I would definitely move to someone place with a warmer climate and better scenery...probably near the ocean. How much money we have usually determines where most of us end up living out our lives.
@michaelbrinks80899 ай бұрын
@@CaneFu I'm over by Burlington Iowa now. Which is basically a mini Peoria that sits on the Mississippi River instead of Illinois River. The cost of living is about the same.
