Spoons! That 1st theme is really beautiful. I heard it in Eric Marienthal's Crossroads album. So many years ago!

A lot of folks really don't remember that recording....amazing album.....I played that cd till my ears bled....Vinnie colaiuta played drums on this....memories.....

Three of my all time favorite musicians! They not only play so well together but they play with so much nuance and sensitivity yet they groove so hard. It boggles my mind how Brian Blade can play with so much musicality by choosing what not to play. All young ninja drummers please pay attention!!

Yes, the piano is mixed a little louder. Which is really ironic for Russell F. Because, I always think his mixed too low on live shows. That said, what a fantastic trio and great music. Very happy to hear and see RF. in a different ensemble format. JP and BB are players that constantly tour with other bands.
