🌈Hi, I’m Max Ballet, and I present to you the interactive video I’ve made about the soundtrack of "My Friend Peppa Pig", a video game by Outright Games and developed by Petoons Studio. How are your senses? Take the challenge!
😽😾🙀😸😿😺
How many emotions do we experience while playing? Well, we don’t usually count them on our fingers, but in this video, we will, with the aim of connecting and understanding why the music sounds the way it does in different situations. Every moment we live is painted with a different emotion; we all feel and perceive because we are sentimental and sensitive beings, and everything that happens around us is a constant learning experience, a continuous message. I’m going to ask you which emotion you think is tied to the musical pieces we’ll hear in the video and, even more precisely, at what exact moment in life they belong. First, I will play a musical piece on the piano, and you will have a few seconds to reflect and try to guess which emotion it belongs to. Simple, right? Well, not so much. Although it might seem easy, there is an ambiguity with similar emotions, unlike with their extremes. It’s precisely with emotions that are closely related where the music becomes harder to distinguish, which is why it’s important to listen carefully.
🧠🤔I can’t stop thinking about how impressive this is. There are so many cerebral profiles, and some people can connect very directly with the sensations they receive from a work of art... and how they come to us in different forms of energy: music, painting, colors, shapes, concepts, sensations... Everything blends together, and suddenly you feel that you perceive something, you feel things, you strongly notice a sensation, and that reaffirms you as a thinking being. Sometimes, you can’t even describe it or know how you got there, but you just know. The entire video follows this formula with different levels; it’s designed for both kids and adults. Take the challenge and discover how you think with "My Friend Peppa Pig".
🎮🕹️In the game, when you’re in Peppa’s house, the same music always plays, defining the place as unique and making the player feel doubly sure about the location. It can unconsciously connect emotions, and then a “Pavlovian effect” occurs: if I hear the music without the image of the location, I still feel that security, I feel the identity of that place as if the image, now missing, were still there. And that’s is one example of how the influence of musical art exerts power over images, and vice versa.
Without a doubt, this type of dynamic not only helps to develop musical sensitivity but also promotes emotional reflection, which is key for both children and adults.
🔊Parents of the world! Would you like to try a music quiz with your children about Peppa Pig? Do you think you can guess the emotions and their songs? Thank you for giving me a few minutes of your life, dear reader. Long live art, long live video games, and long live us.
❤️Greetings, and see you soon!❤️
