Peppermint Cockroach Repellant

COCKROACH REPELLENT RECIPE
What you need:
8 drops of cypress oil
10 drops of peppermint oil
1/2 cup of water
Glass spray bottle
Mix together the cypress oil, peppermint oi and water in the glass bottle. Spray the mixture anywhere you have roach issues. The added benefit is that these oils smell lovely. No gas masks required. Make sure you use a glass spray bottle because essential oils can corrode the plastic.

Hello from NJ The Roaches came in with the new neighbors and I'm wondering because that's all I've been drinking lately (it also good for gas) and I'm wondering if I could use the dried tea bag until I can get the oil.

In the last few weeks we’ve had roaches. I bought raid that supposedly kills them and the foggers but they never worked and i worried constantly using toxic chemicals around my family and myself. I had a few bottles of peppermint oil and used it without a carrier oil around the places that they tend to crawl around and it worked better then raid. I haven’t tried her concoction yet. I’m thinking I’ll use a carrier oil instead of water on the first try then use water if it doesn’t work well.

I just used some after checking into a hotel that is overrun with German variety. Works like a champ 🏆!!! Hadn't seen a single one tonight. Warning though.....it is extremely strong so use a little at first. Good luck to u.

Idk if this will help you anymore (since it's been a couple years), but since i started using pepperming oil about a year or so ago i get next to no gnats flying in my face and zero roaches. The kind i get even lets me spray on furniture (though sparingly; I wouldnt advise putting it anywhere you rest your head and i can't say others won't have a reaction to skin contact even if i did not).

how often do we spray? I had boxes in my garage and i think the boxes had attracted roaches. i keep seeing one once a month. ive thrown away every box in my home & i still see them.

What if you spray it in a room where babies sleep? I just sprayed it and started reading that it could be very bad for them. I'm thinking about going to a hotel now.

Buy budles of duct tape and put bottom of your wall so they cant climb , also put duct tape around your bed posts and put in on bed room floor too so they cant go inside your bedroom

What to do when you can’t find a cypress oil? I leave I’m South Africa and we don’t have it here but I wanna get rid of cockroaches in my house, back of fridge, freezer, microwave, cupboard, etc... just too much mom.

I've just done this, I have so many cockroaches but need to find something natural as I have children and see them coming out of a crack in the wall so hopefully this work to get them out before I spray the house with pest control

Hi there - you do need a carrier oil when applying essential oils to your skin. But for the purpose of using for a bug repellent, you're spraying the oil on surfaces, not your skin. For example, in the back corners of cabinets, etc. Places that people aren't touching it. I hope that helps. 🙂
