Watching your journey with Craig is eye opening for a dad with a 6 year old who is still non verbal and has some of the same mannerisms as Craig. It’s almost overwhelming. It’s beautiful to see his good natured soul and it’s terrifying to know that Zander (our son) is probably going to spend his adult life with me and his mom. I’m so scared of letting him down. We have all the same fears as other parents with kids on the spectrum but my goodness watching Craig I feel like I’m watching Zander in 20 years. ❤

I had those same fears and all kids on the spectrum are different. My son started talking around age 5 and my daughter around age 4. My son is now in his early 20’s and goes to college and lives in a dorm. He needs more support than others his age but is on his way towards independence. Each person and family situation is different but I believe in early intervention and medication when needed.

I have two sons on the spectrum, oldest is an "aspie" (17) and off to college in September, second boy is 16 and just like Craig with the same triggers, they both began to talk and link sentences after age 6, they have two younger "normie" siblings who are great with them, you won't fail your child, you know your kid better than anyone, we had the same fears, but with time comes maturity. It will all come good, even though it is probably tough right now ❤.

I recently found this channel and have been binge watching the last couple of weeks. Mama, you are an AMAZING mom. So, the bottle return $. I live in a state where we don’t have deposits on cans, but I’ve lived in states before where they did. Im assuming the $ you get back is from the deposit you paid when you bought the cans ? Im sure that’s it, but I’m so behind on life thst I had to wonder if possibly it was a new program. Charlotte’s kitchen is local. They started as a food truck and now they have restaurants in Johnston and indianola. The money from the cans and bottles does come from the deposit paid at the time of purchase 😊
