Hi Clive, This is a beautiful painting! I think the long green peppers are "Anaheim" or "Pablano" peppers. And yes the ripeness goes from green, to yellow, to red. :-)

Most red bell peppers go from green to red just like mixing the pigments. There are short phases where the border between the green areas and red areas of a ripening red pepper is a deep dull brown. Yellow peppers to my knowledge do not naturally go red, same thing for orange peppers. There used to be some designer varieties of banana peppers my grandfather grew end up looking like they had come from Mardi Gras {starting green then ripening to patches of red, orange, and yellow}, so I think the color change really depends on the specific variety.

Hi, I live in spain and I have some little troubles with the meaning of wash and glace and the traduction to spanish. Are they the same, similar, different?

A wash is a very thin coat of medium and water with paint which is more of a Matt finish where glazing is normally done with a colour to give a glossy look

@@CLIVE5ART thanks a lot. So, a wash is a velature in italian, a veil in french and veladura in spanish. "Wash" has different meanings in english and we have a discuss about that.
