Damn near same, i started in 2017, grinded to c3 in 2019, 2020 was my year of freestyle, 2021-2022 i took a long ass breaks and realized i wasnt as good as i used to be, now its 2023, im back on the grind and now im hitting shots that surpass anything ive done before.

Learning when you already have an understanding of physics in-game is much easier than learning the game, and grinding from the very start, learning from the ground up as you go, this is why many new players struggle to improve, us lower ranks can’t improve because we haven’t yet taken the time to just appreciate the game for what it is and have fun with it.

And the last time I watched it was pretty long ago when I though about giving up, then I saw this and picked up my controller pressed cancel to delete and hopped back on. I miss 2016-2017 rocket league, the game was so simple back then, allowing the game to be fun rather than competitive. It was also a lot less toxic. Not to mention crates were still a thing. I would consider the credit system to be the worst addition into rocket league.
