Per was so emotional in this performance and close to tears (especially towards the end of the song). It brought me to tears. 😥 I can only imagine what Per must have been feeling when performing these songs without Marie. He would NOT have continued Roxette without her blessing. How can anyone not be moved by what these Roxette songs mean to so many people, especially when it has been a huge part of their lives for so long and knowing now that Marie is not around to perform it anymore? Of course, Roxette is not truly Roxette without Marie, that is why we have all the beautiful songs/videos/pictures/memories to last us for lifetimes. We could not have asked for anything more. I am glad that Per is still around to create fantastic music for us. We will always miss Marie but she won't be forgotten. And I think Per understands this more than most of us. He feels this loss more deeply and personally than any one of us can even fathom. If you truly love Roxette, then listen to their music, reminisce and enjoy it for what it was and can be but offer some kind words every now and again because I'm sure Per, the Roxette family (and even Marie) will appreciate it. Roxette Forever! ❤️

To be totally honest here, for me personally I think Per now should take a complete ownership of the band to be the only lead singer and leave Helena to do a backing singers job. Then I think the fans will start getting used to the fact that Marie is gone and consequently Per will receive a humongous amount of support for carrying the bands legacy. Historically replacing an original band mate never has been very successful for the band and to replace such a unique flower like Marie it's not even worth giving it a go. I am saying this from the dedicated Roxette fan's point of view xx

Not that I want to burst your bubble but Roxette always was and will be mostly Per. If you look at the songs almost all of them are written only in Pers name as a text writer and composer. This was a bit of annoying at times where you'd see captions like Roxette (text and music by Per Gessle) on the music videos everywhere. Seems this guy has a bit of a complex.

Marie retired from stages back in Abril 2016 due to her old illness or as a consequence of that brain cancer. Sadly, Marie Fredriksson has passed away in the 9th December, 2019.
