You may be a growling Bass with a range which runs higher than other basses. If you want to learn your range in a voice lesson, make sure the teacher knows their stuff, because singing the wrong repertoire can hurt your voice.

Apart from that it's the characteristic colour of voice which distinguishes him as a baritone. Sometimes, with a heavier voice, it (this voice) can initially be mistaken for a bass.
