This is how a trail review should look! Sweet, simple, to the point with little nuggets of local information tucked inside. Thank you!

Did this the first weekend in January 2023. Perfect weather and water was flowing, one of my favorite loops to do!

I appreciate the before and after snake clips. I remember being out on the go John trail years ago and getting spooked by 2 smaller snakes, going around them only then to encounter a western diamondback. I felt paranoid and trapped for sure! 😂

Ohhh I know what you mean! It takes forever to get the heartbeat to calm down. Then, every stick you see is a Diamondback, every shadow! 😂

This area has been placed at the top of my list. That's a worldwide list. I got to get out there while I still can. Thanks for the wonderful tour

Great clip comparing the hiking before and after seeing a snake 😆 Thanks for posting all these videos. Looking for easy trails to start on for first timer backpacking. Any suggestions for one nighters to try for our first backpacking trip?

Hey Amy! Sure, I have an idea for a first time overnight trip. You'll want to aim for a place where you can filter water, so you don't have to carry two days worth of water. That will make the pack lighter and the hike more manageable. A good spot right now would be the Picket Post TH on the Arizona Trail, heading south to a rainwater collection tank. 11.4 miles of easy to light/moderate hiking, out and back. Good news is, the same section would be perfect for 2 night, 3 day trip as well if you decide you want to try going a little further. Its gorgeous out there. This is a good time to do it too, before it gets too hot. Here is a video of that hike to give you an idea of what to expect: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iqfSZKx_jN2Wedk

Thanks Bob! The music is one of a handful of free options that comes with the editing software I use. Its called Wondershare Filmora. Cheap software, but works well enough to slap these amateur videos together.

Nice! Enjoy it man. If you can handle a few more miles, I’d recommend Battleship Mountain. If you want a physical challenge, Flat Iron is THE hike for you. I’ve got videos of both of those hikes - check ‘em out.

"Hey moon juice " I've never been hiking before, what trail would you recommend i take up to music mountain in the superstition ?
@MoonJuiceHikes
@MoonJuiceHikes Жыл бұрын
Hey Abe! Music Mountain is located deep in the eastern supes, surrounded by Dutchman 104, Peters Trail, Hoolie Bacon and the Red Tanks trail. I’ve never climbed the peak, but I assume you would access it from Music Canyon, off the Dutchman 104 trail. In addition to downloading a GPS map, grab a Green Trails map to help find the way. Also, this won’t be an easy adventure. Difficult hiking just to get to Music Canyon, very difficult to climb the summit. At this moment, the canyons are dry too.

Great video, I live very near the Superstitions. I must say however that hiking alone in these mountains is never a good idea. Every year people get lost here and have to be rescued out. Don't go by yourself!
