PercaDu did (and does) a lot for percussion! Both wrote pieces that got "classics" of our percussion literature... and Octabones is also ingenious! 👏

Is it just me or are there a lot of references to the second movement of Shostakovich's 10th symphony in here?

As a percussion major, I can easily say that this is INSANE. Probably my new favorite marimba piece. I LOVE this. I hope I can hear this live one day. 5/5 and favorited.

Responding to my own comment 12 years later. This shit is just as impressive if not more so vs then. Amazing song/performance.

@Psychokinesismaniac Me and a friend are currently taking this beast on and We have been practissing it on a 5.0 and a 4.5 but I think that appart from the low C everything else is A and up. (I do not have the score to double check but I know it is possible on a 4.5 for sure and I can't think off the top of my head a spot where I hit lower than the A.)
@Psychokinesismaniac13 жыл бұрын
Is it possible to slightly rearrange this to play it on a 5.0 and a 4.3?

i thought that the mallets stuck out between the middle and ring finger and between the thumb and the pointer finger though??

Wonderful piece. I was wondering if anyone knows how to purchase this piece. I have checked their website but I can't find it. This description says its published so if anyone knows, an answer would be greatly appreciated.
@sarolinad13 жыл бұрын
The best way is to buy directly from the composer, moragadi@gmail.com

3:40. The thumb and index finger both inside is a pretty clear indication of traditional cross grip. That would be my guess. But does it really matter? lol this piece is EPIC.

I was able to see these guys front row center in Munich with the Bavarian State Orchestra a few weeks ago. Just stunning! And the array of instruments they had on stage to strike was incredible. I was particularly pleased with how the German audience received these two Israeli musicians. Everyone was way impressed. Zubin Mehta conducted. See them when you can.
