I have other opinion. Cross multiplication trick / shortcut is like memorising maths . Memorising maths won't last long. Understanding the question will help us improving our standard. For eg, If 50% of a number is 43, then what's the 100% of the number? Then simply, many students will find 86 easily. They would have multiplied 43 by 2. That 2 is, how many 50's are there in 100. Number = 100/50 x 43 . Likewise, Number = 150/40 x 30 No need to create so many shortcuts , it cut shorts students understanding skills. That's why many students wrongly cross multiplying..
