BK is exceptionally intelligent. What he is saying, from his scientific and philosophic background, is what the Bhagavad Gita narrates in Chapter 11.

Just listened to Chapter 11 after listening to this clip. Makes me think imagine if an ant could suddenly perceive the perceptual world of a human. Or, as a human, you could go down into the preceptual world of an ant and teach them about the perceptual world of humans. The ants would be off creating organised religions , constructing idols, and have sessional holidays to worship their newfound gods 😁

“If it is not physical, not material, then what is it” - even children understand it. The answer is visual, the world is visual. That means reality is dreamscapes (being) that must form a continuum comprised of related finite particles of dark and light relativity. Life is only a dream. So the question is not so much ‘what is it’ or ‘why is it’ but what does it equip us to do. We are able to understand things.

I find this new series of videos very clear and interesting. Have you published a study which makes use of game theory? Or could you point me to some articles? Thank you.

It's also important to mention that most other cultures do not percieve the world as just phisical. Percieveing the wolrd as just phisical is culturally imposed learned behavior. "Mind and Spirit" project led by T. M. Luhrnmann shows that in some other cultures, people view certain phenomenon that we think as "just in our head" as outside events whitch opens them up for experiences that are quite rare in the modern west. This is because they don't have this false dichotomy that devides "our mind" from the world "outside".

Whether the world "as it actually is" can or cannot be apprehended by humans at all is an open question. I believe it can be, but only directly, "without thought coverings", in other words non-conceptually. Words and numbers cannot produce a fine enough net in which to capture it.

Maybe a better word for the operation system of the computer would be the 'user interface'.

Hello Dr. Kastrup. My question is as follows: If the world is not our representation or as it is shown to us, what would be the problem if it still works?

I know what you're saying about consciousness. So we're looking at a dashboard. We're creating it up in in our mind. But what if I take a photgraphe and it looks perfect. Did the camera make the image up in it's own mind?

Would our perception of the outside world have to depend on our previous interpretation of it ? In a previous mental construct ? And would it be plausible to deduce that we are the producers of that perceived biological outcome ? How could it be another way ?

The free course would be much more absorbed if it's accompanied by visuals, granted that The Universe is best explained by geometry for it is impartial, concise, and intuitive.

What do you mean by ‘states’?

The map is not the territory, and the territory isn't the whole story either.

In fact the 'territory' may well be just another level of map.

TLDR: Our perception of the world is a coded representation on our internal dashboard, which is limited by our cognitive abilities and prioritizes survival over truth. 1. 00:00 🧠 Our perception of the world is limited by our cognitive abilities. 1.1 Our perception of the world as it is in itself is not accurate, as our internal cognitive states cannot mirror the complexity and variety of states of the world out there. 2. 01:13 🧠 Perception is not a mirror of the world, but an encoded representation that helps us maintain structural and dynamical integrity. 2.1 Perception is not a mirror of the world, but an encoded representation, as mirroring the world in our internal cognitive states would result in an infinite complexity and variety of inner states, leading to an inability to maintain structural and dynamical integrity. 3. 02:33 ✈ Pilots rely on instrument readings to navigate through the air. 3.1 Airplane pilots fly by instruments connected to sensors that measure parameters of the world up and present the results on the dashboard. 4. 03:16 🧠 Our perception is a dashboard that encodes accurate information about the world, but it is not the world itself. 4.1 Our perception is like a dashboard, providing encoded but accurate information about the world, but it is not the world itself. 5. 04:43 🤔 Perception ≠ Reality: Evolution prioritizes survival over truth. 5.1 Perception is not an accurate representation of the world as it is due to the fact that evolution favors survival over truth. 6. 05:57 💾 A computer file is a collection of microscopic electronic switches in flash memory. 6.1 A computer file is not actually a white rectangle, but rather a collection of millions of microscopic electronic switches open or closed in the flash memory. 7. 06:50 🧠 Evolution gave us a dashboard to see the world as encoded representations. 7.1 Evolution equipped us with a dashboard metaphor to see the world as encoded representations instead of overwhelming us with information. 8. 08:02 🧠 The world we perceive is a coded representation on our internal dashboard. 8.1 The world we experience is not the physical reality, but rather an encoded representation on our internal dashboard.
