what is a good cheap perch rod for for medium casting weight ?

@@bravefartt a medium priced rod with a medium casting weight is the shimano Yasei zander shad 270

Any decent light or ultralight rod, @@bravefartt A; a good casting weight range is anywhere from 1g - 3g/4g on the lower end, to 10g - 12g on the high end; even up to 14g casting weight is fine for big perch; and, if it has a sensitive tip, can even be fun for smaller perch... For reels, I would recommend anything from a 1500 to a 2500, depending on the brand. I have used a couple of DAM QUICK 2 2000 series reels, and they are great. I think RD vs FD is a personal preference thing; as in do you prefer a more compact reel, or easier access to the drag...?

Im Australian and love the perch pro 50cm plus specimens of them are rare here love seeing them caught . My pb is 46cm getting close to the 50cm one day it will happen.Ive got my 124cm barramundi all i need is a 100cm plus murray cod and a 50cm plus perch and my life is complete lol.

Just to be curious, is the fish at 27:31 (33sm) approved? It was not caught by the angler, he made the cast and left the rod and put it on the floor with the bait in the water in order to assist with the net, he made no animation, the fish just took the bait from the bottom....
