Definition of a percussionist. Love the dynamics and the anticipation between certain rythm. It's like your telling a story. Love it

Reminds me of something you'd hear in old school Depeche Mode. Pretty cool.

this is a sick piece, the way i see it is you sat down and decided to find out how many cool sounds you could make on percussion instruments, then threw it all into one piece aha

@forkfullofpie hey, thanks very much! You are spot-one about the drum head swirls, I'm glad someone picked that up so fast. Hmm...inspiration, I'm not sure how to say it now. I'll have to get back to ya on that :)

This piece is so accessible! It might benefit from a collaboration with a cello or viola? That's just what I'm hearing on the third listen. Maybe a bass? Now that I hear that in my head a bass might be worth taking a pass at it? It's a great piece. One of your best. Keep on amazing us!

@bucoslo I never have a specific story in mind. However, like stories and arts in general, the point is to share a concept or idea. Music and stories are very similar in that they both give the observer an experience; the purpose of the experience is to amplify the concept or idea, making it more meaningful/personal to the observer.

@martinlentini hey, it's just my Samsung camera's mic. It's strange how great that camera's mic picks up drums. Marimba...not so much, but excellent for this

awesome. i especially liked the 'spiraling' motion on the drumheads at the beginning and end; very appropriate symbolically. if you don't mind sharing, what was your inspiration for this piece? namaste, lq
