Danny has decided to stay away from the comments on this series (for now). He won't be spoiled, I'll make sure of it 🤫 I'll pass on any thoughts you would like to share with him though! If you would like to talk about book content, maybe just give a little spoiler warning at the start of your comment, just to be mindful of other new ‘tv show only’ viewers! Thanks for watching everyone❤

The meta reason Rick Riordan didn't include more of Luke's backstory in the first book was because he hadn't come up with it yet :)

SPOILER I think it’s great that they included Luke’s backstory early on, because it makes the final reveal more of a knife twist since we care about him and empathize with him more.

Excellent reaction!!! I do agree how it’s nice that Percabeth’s relationship is one that takes time to blossom as they grow older and wiser like Ron and Hermione. I do admire how they explore the relationship between a godly parent and their half-blood child as well as the reason of their exclusive involvement in their life. Can’t wait for the next episodes!!! 🧑🏼🦱👩🏿🦱🧑🏾🦱🧔🏻🦓🪷🚖🌊💙🩶💚💛

I loved that scene with Hermes!! He looked downright haunted at times 😔😔

He's my fav, the way he behaves in this scene is far more human than people give him credit for. If you were a dad and your kid said they hated you, of course, you'd become distant from them. That doesn't mean he doesn't care, though.

Lin played his part excellently. We can feel so much emotion from him just from hearing Luke's name.

gods tend to have their favourite kids who they pay more attention too and care more about, likely either due to the kid being a prodigy, them having proper feelings for the human parent or them growing to care for the kid over time or all three. You can usually see which kid a god favours due to them giving them gifts, which their other kids are very unlikely to have, for example Annabeth has her mothers hat, Luke has his fathers shoes, Clarisse with her spear, etc though despite favouring that kid their level of care still depends on the god. In the show Athena and Ares may have their favourite kid they favour but they still weren't that attached to them unlike Hermes and Poseidon who are both clearly attached to them, I also think it may relate to who they actually are as well. Poseidon is the god of the sea, sure the sea can be scary but it also provides life, no one can live without the sea, so that perhaps makes Poseidon value people lives more. Hermes may be the god of thieves but he is also the god of communication and travellers, he'd very likely have the most contact with mortals because of this and thus can understand them a little better than the other gods, I feel like you'd have to have a open mind if you were delivering messages to all sorts of people over thousands and thousands of years. I really like how soft spoken he is compared to Ares.

It's really so refreshing to watch both of you. One who knows the books and one who is very new to the world. Your discussions and theories are really fun to watch and I can't wait to watch yiur reactions to the last two episodes. I'm sure it's going to be big and hype!

As always, a great reaction. I personally loved both the changes - pearls, missing the deadlline etc and I'm intrigued to see how they solve it. I also loved hearing more about Hermes & Luke's relationship which will be a great payoff for future seasons. Percabeth as always was a treat and I love how they're starting to banter with each other even more. What I didn't quite like was that they never really got to have much fun in the casino and they knew a bit too quickly about the lotus flower, although I will admit the twist about them inhaling it in rather than digesting it was interesting. Last few episodes are bound to be hectic & I'm so looking forward to it.

This episode was short, and honestly as for story progression it didn't do as much as other episodes, but honestly, this episode is just a fun time, I found myself laughing and/or smiling every couple minutes

lol Hermes doing a better job at having a serious talk than anyone so far. Ares isn't the type to "sit and talk", I know he did in the last episode but you could tell he didn't like it XD It wasn't his thing, lol

Right!? I have my own thoughts about Hermes behaviour in this one. And his delaying them so much… but I best keep quiet around Danny 😂

I was dreading this a little because the casino scene was my least favorite in the film so I was super-pleased that they made it actually work here. That victory aside, the driving scene made me cringe so much my eyes watered. I guess Percy's lack of vehicular skills makes sense since Poseidon wouldn't have need of driving skills underwater. On a side note, this channel is moving faster than the series. You've doubled your subscribers in less than two weeks! Keep this up and you'll both be on some watch list. Maybe the government... maybe Olympus! 😉 Have a great week everyone. Cheers from Florida.

Keep in mind that the gods AREN'T all-knowing or all-powerful. They're honestly a lot like mortals. Remember what Chiron said: "The gods are not fiction; they are the truest reflection of humanity."
