On this one... I honestly didn't know who I preferred more... Shade made me smile with her performance because she made it easy to sound good while singing and at the same time she gave enough for me not to say she's not doing enough. I loved it. She's the kind of musician who makes music beautiful ❤️. I loved her on this, she sang so beautifully even though it might not have been as shiny as Pere's. Still I loved Pere on this! He sang incredibly well and personally, their duet is one I'd always be out to watch! Together, they make a perfect match! I wish there was a way they could both be saved. But...

This was one of the duetestest battles this season. Reminds me of Anu and Tosin's "Stay", last season #goosebumps. Both singers brought a new side of themselves to bear. Pere showed us power and presence in the more "masculin-ey" parts of his voice. I think he emphasized his range even more with this. Shade upped her game from the knockouts. Her voice was vibrant and colorful. They both had beautiful embellishments. I loved. But the most important part for me was her composure after Pere was chosen. I literally sent her a virtual hug. I hope she does really well out here!

Ignoring all I heard about flat notes, I would have chosen Debbie, because indigenous tones just Hit different in emotional songs like this, i feel this is your ‘bias’ and is mine too. Actually, when Pere was belting that high note Debbie hit a head voice note which was even higher that really made that moment sound more beautiful It’s quite disappointing that the judges didn’t acknowledge that. Btw, I love what you do on this channel so much. Very objective and mostly accurate

I don't know why we ain't talking much about that part. Shade did mariah Carey notes and we overlooked it. It keep going back just to watch her sing those high notes to compliment pere. I think pere just overshadowed her because she deserves a recognition with what she did there.

I really don't get this flat notes they keep talking about. It's either the feedback mechanism they hear with or from (speakers or ear piece) is the issue or there's an adjustment done post production. I think Praiz kinda exaggerated saying "a lot of" flat notes. Wanting Debbie to pitch high and give back in intensity seems quite unnecessary. Great duet it was!

Edit: I do kinda agree with the flat note criticism, although I disagree with the "a lot", felt praiz was over exaggerating. Just one part in Debbie's verse I noticed wasn't in sync with the instrumental; she went flat @3:12- 3:15, then from there to where Pere comes in she quickly adjusted.

I totally disagree with these judges on this one… I felt like what they all said was so irrelevant for that performance… you know like when you Dont have something to say but just Feel like you should .. smh..
