This is an alternate band for NEGA. All of the members are from Nega. They wanted to experience a different type of look and music style. Anyway, it's all over for Nega/Perestroika. They announced disbandment.

@CrazyCookieMonster6 Well for starters this is a 2nd band, their main band is NEGA. Perestroika is there attempt to a more oshare style. NEGA is a Visual Kei band, there much older stuff from around 2007 (i think?) - 2008 is more Japanese Gothic/VK. They have different stages name for each band, but as far as NEGA is concerned, Voc. is Jin, Gui. is Ray, Bass is SAN and dr. is Yu. I'll definitely recommand Haunted Jealousy, Reminiscence, IDLE and Muddy Cult.

Possibly plans to change the band genre-wise when becoming Perestroika. They probably realised after a while that they will always be known as Nega and changed back again. Though I'm sure there's a bigger reason, I don't think anyone knows however.

@bestiaonthedrum Maybe they started Perestroika because the wanted a change but still have Nega as the main outlet. You know when people cry about style change, for example: "I want old (insert band name here) back", maybe its to prevent that. So Nega stays focused on one style and Perestroika is whatever else they want to experiment with. Thats my opinion now that i have given it a thought.

I don't think so. I really don't know why they disband though. Just because undercode (their record label) is closing, does not mean they should disband. They could easily signed to Avex or Sony.

@CrazyCookieMonster6 the legs belong to San ^_^ he can always rock out and still look hot showing some leg this band is/was a side project of the ban Nega(same members) with a more "visualy toned-down look" the music is a bit more (hate to use this term)"mainstream" than the super hard sound of Nega. either way i love BOTH bands and the sounds.they are currently on tour in Europe.

Well no, Versailles does have some relevance when you think about it. They style their image after that era and Versailles palace is known for its extravagance and how the nobles all gathered at it. I'm sure they where implying that general feeling with the name and image.

It doesn't, I guess they just saw the word somewhere and liked it and decided to use it as the name for the band. It's the same for the band Versailles, which has the name of the Versailles Treaty which was one of the peace treaties in WWI. Many bands have names that refer to something else but has absolutely nothing to do with the band.
