The lawsuit will have the NYT go after Blake in order for her to turn over receipts. Potentially showing that she lied/mislead them with her "evidence". This in turn will show that the NYT did defamed him. If he wins his lawsuit, he can then file a lawsuit against Blake Lively where he will win that case as well. This whole fiasco is case of both parties trying to control the narrative/public perception but Blake may have taken it too far.

The problem is that Blake Lively was disliked before this movie came out and was even made. She is viewed as a marginal actress, nepo baby, rude to costars and interviewers, had a weddding at a slave plantation, mocked princess kate, allegedly had an adulterous affair with Ryan, her business ventures were poor, and she is just overall tone deaf. The idea that her hair care line failed because of justin and pr is laughable. Customers hated her haircare line because it damaged their hair and she isnt known for having good hair. There are a ton of bad reviews on targets website and even on youtube about the line and people were returning the product because it was bad quality and overpriced. How is Baldoni responsible for that? It is delusional that she believed she was well liked before this movie. She was not. And William Morris, Hollywood, Ryan Reynolds and her pr team having been trying to shove her on to the public for years and the public is saying they dont like her acting, her businesses, or her.

Until evidence shows otherwise, I have a very hard time believing Blake. I agree with most everything that has been commented on Blake’s history except one. I understand that slavery is evil. There is no other way to put it. However, I do not know why it is made into a big deal that Blake and Ryan got married at a plantation. There are no slaves on the plantation in 2024. There are no slave owners. It would be like if someone in Germany chooses to buy and live in a house that a Nazi owned back in the 1940’s. It does not make the current owner a Nazi. And FYI, there are many Germans in 2024 that live in old apartments and houses that used to be owned by Nazis. It does not make them Nazis. The plantations are beautiful. I do not blame Blake and Ryan for picking such a beautiful place to get married. They are not supporting slavery! It does not make them racist. People need to realize that visiting a plantation or having an event at a plantation does not make anyone racist or have bad taste. There are events in Germany that take place where Hitler had events. Germans are some of the most accepting of other races and religions due to their history. A plantation is preserved, but it is not a place where slaves are abused in the modern world. It is ridiculous to treat a plantation as though we are living in the 1800’s.

The journalists at the NY Times allegedly are extremely well connected to the PR people in LA. This is not ridiculous at all to go after them. These people are so intertwined it borders on unethical journalism. And he likely may sue her, her companies and others as well. But what choice does he have. He was fired by a major talent agency and blacklisted in Hollywood within 1 week. It would be crazy not to sue if he believes he is innocent. He has nothing to lose at this point. If it were me and I was innocent, I would sue the NY times, any media outlets involved, any social media influencers involved, her, her husband, her companies, ex pr team, and William Morris. If you are an up and coming actor like him, being blacklisted and fired by a major talent agency in Los Angeles effectively ends your acting and directing career, at least in the U.S. That is major. It's not something to play around with. So yeah he has nothing to lose at this point by filing multiple lawsuits.

But remember that WME talent agency that dropped him (to make it look like Justin was guilty) - their head partner is Stephanie Jones' husband (She is head of Justin's former PR company. She was the one who leaked the texts to Blake's team. Very unlikely they were subpoenaed, since they were screenshots.) And WME also represent Blake and Ryan. And it turns out Ryan demanded they drop Justin. It's all a dirty scheme using connections to these agencies to ruin him and his small company that's just starting out.

Makes sense. As a PR Major, we are taught to have contacts with the media and have some form of control. We are also required to have some form of media training. The PR agency knew someone big on NY Times and they probably owed a favor. Have you ever been to a press junket for a movie? Many actors require alcohol to get through it. She had Ryan who would have been on set in a flash. And Baldoni's lawsuit even says, Ryan screamed at Baldoni when Blake told him Baldoni called her fat. Another lie by Blake and getting worked up when Baldoni asked her how much she weighs. Blake sees everything through distorted lens. Baldoni has receipt that he did not barge in when Blake was breastfeeding but Blake invited him in to discuss the script and she told him to come on in, in texts between them. Blake did try to take over the whole film when she even said in her interviews promoting IEWU that she chose to wear her own clothes and borrowed clothes from Gigi, that her husband Ryan rewrote part of the script during the writers strike and Baldoni didn't know and that Blake said also she is a "director " etc etc and everyone of those interviews were about her. The CRD doesn’t investigate most of what is filed because they can’t and would likely give her a right to sue letter and let her pursue it on her own anyway. Attorneys know this and get their right to sue up front because they want to file. It makes sense to assume she didn’t want to file a lawsuit, just to leak the complaint and get ahead of the narrative without the discovery.

I am with you on this. If you followed that case (which I did closely). When this came up, watching BL’s interviews for this movie and others prior, and then the NYT article it seemed so similar. What I can’t understand is why NYT would even cover this “complaint”. In the article, they also added the name of the Norwegian interviewer on KZbin who around the same time of the movie release posted and old interview with Blake being mean to her. They tried to claim she is part of the so called smear campaign against BL fueled by JB. The lady stands firm and clear she has nothing to do with it. It’s worth watching her take. They are liable for that. -“During shooting, Blake Lively, the co-star, had complained that the men had repeatedly violated physical boundaries and made sexual and other inappropriate comments to her.” Baldoni refutes. This should not be stated as fact. -“Ms. Lively had expressed concerns about Mr. Baldoni from the beginning, according to her legal complaint. Before shooting began, for example, she objected to sex scenes he wanted to add that she considered gratuitous.” This is a Times statement. We know now Blake refused to meet with the intimacy coordinator prior to shooting.

It's not so much sides as it is Blake and Ryan threw their weight around and took over that movie and went after the person most likely to stand in their way, the person who bought the rights, was directing it and saw it not as a thing to use for Blake and Ryan's benefit, but a passion project. Conflict between them, and Blake and Ryan are the ones with the money, power and influence to get their way. Not to mention, Blake was the most ruthless person in the room. That always helps, that and oversized big self absorbed heads. Blake always has to be right and she likes to play the victim and then use that to bully other people. She can't be wrong, even when she's in the wrong, that's why people don't trust her version of things and that's why instead of being a decent and smart human being like Anne Hathaway was, and phoning up Kjersti Flaa and explaining her situation at the time and apologizing like most of us would have done, she worked to further victimize Kjersti by working with other bad actors to claim and manipulate to make the public believe that Kjersti was somehow part of the dirty work that Blake herself is part of. I don't believe they even think that, just using another person to play their game. No conscience, totally ruthless, totally out for themselves and don't care who they stomp on to get what they want. Whatever else may have happened, Blake did what she did for self serving reasons and when she acted like she did and got backlash, true to form, she couldn't accept people just didn't like her behavior and here we are.

Smart move! NYT should have double checked those texts before publishing an article that will ruin a man's career! I almost feel bad that I believe Justin here. From the start, Ive never felt her complaint was about the SH, but about the negative PR campaign she felt was waged against her. If it's true though that they didn't even have to engage the plan to "bury her" (which is legit the job of a crisis PR), because she did it to herself, Blake and Ryan both are done.😬

What he says sounds so much more believable. So many things in her complaint are out of subject, exaggerated, or interpreted in a way that fits her narrative (eg : he asked for her weight therefore she decided to interpret it as him calling her fat). She also lied about those texts having been subpoenaed cause they were given to her by someone that hated JB and she knew that would make people doubtful of their authenticity, so that begs the question : what else did she lie about? Not to mention all the things she’s done on set on a whim, like getting her husband involved and making changes she told no one else about like she was the only person working on that movie. How can she claim now that she wasn’t in control over it?
