Just one person's opinion. The setup and Chamber design are Just older classic Joe Davidson design from The Oklahoma Joes Smoker company. The fact you put your time into it and With the Your Father to me makes it Just over the top. Great Build and Time well spent with your Dad.

Awesome build. Like the "trim" to create a seal around the firebox door, but don't think it's necessary with the door being open for air flow. I did have a few suggestions: - I would ditch the heat deflector plate as that will disrupt the arc of smoke. - I would also add a thermometer to the cooking chamber, especially at grate level. - What about an expanded metal wall around the storage shelf? Then the wood splits wouldn't fall down. Overall, great job guys. Super cool to see a well thought out, heavy duty smoker.

I think what you guys are doing is great and I wish my dad was still around to do projects with but I think $3k is steep for this. My basis for that is that somebody could get a Workhorse Pits 1975 for a little less than 3k with a pull out shelf. Not trashing this at all and if you sell it for $3k then I'm happy for you. Personally, I probably wouldn't pay it.
