Thank you very much. Starting a consultancy is definitely a different animal. We know people who started small consulting gigs after their career at MBB firms but you need very specific knowledge for that. It's very unlikely that one would be successful starting a generalist strategy consulting firm. It would be impossbile to compete with the scale and support system (research, experts across the globe, etc.) of the MBB firms. For a specific industry in the SME space it could work though.
