gonna post the times I got on each of the ILs and comment on them each, this was what KevinDDR talked over by accident since he didn't know they were letting me go over the times at the end so he thought they were wrapping up ASAP Defection: 0:16 - this is standard for doing this safe ending/landing Investigation: 2:02 - standard for not getting the laser skip, was kinda annoyed I didn't get it because I was having really good luck with it during practice, but I was kinda shaky since the run just started Extraction: 1:12 - pretty meh, but I lost time since I can do this at my home setup without night vision since my CRT is so bright Villa: 1:23 - average Chicago: 0:24 - solid G5: 2:15 - average Infiltration: 1:23 - nade death at first lift on the first attempt was extremely unlucky but I expected something to go wrong so whatever, 1:23 after is average, bad door stuck was eh Rescue: 1:48 - average Escape: pretty meh, because of the lol troll ending (kinda common) Air Base: 1:36 - this was really good for me Air Force One: 1:15 - standard Crash Site: 1:39 - solid Pelagic II: 1:28 - accidentally reset the buttons, and the lag from the alarm didn't help, absolutely insane warp at the end, even for an IL run Deep Sea: 3:24 - screw Elvis, he was extremely slow, the rest was standard though CI: 1:16 - really solid, hostages completed really early which helped a ton since I would usually have to shoot those two last guards first Attack Ship: 2:48 - standard Skedar Ruins: 1:43 - bad/unlucky pillar set, doing the rocket boost jump to skip the bridge was really scary, solid boss battle/ending

i remember playing this and beating it in about 3 weeks after it came out. To see someone beat it in 33 minutes makes me feel like I wasted that time.

I decided to go back and play a bunch of n64 classics, never played this before. When I walk forward or backward my camera moves up or down as well and I am wondering is this normal? I messed around with the settings but it seems my character can't just look straight forward when I press forward. AHHHH
@denniero69045 жыл бұрын
You need to change your setting. Camera and move controls can be changed just like goldeneye. I cant remember exactly howto. In goldeneye you have 1.1. 1.2 2.1 and 2.2 that are usefull.

Haha I remember trying to kill that final boss as a kid and my god was it stressful! Made it look like child's play!

It took me six years to beat that. Found it too hard when the game was new in 2000, dabbled with it on and off for the next little while, then in 2006 I just YOLO'd it and beat it first time in anger when I'd come home from a semester break at university. Don't know how I did it. There really wasn't any KZbin or video tutorials back then.

Man... a few years back I got to finally experience the split screen action of PD and GE with friends... The only difference with my friends and I, we actually played in class on my laptop crowding around my keyboard, locking each other's controls due to the good old 4 key input maximum... And then after class ends, we'd head into a free period, rip out our controllers, set them up, get a whole 3 minutes to continue the match, put the controllers back in our bags when class started, and return to the keyboard crowding method. Back in 2016 though, we actually did a short 30 minute live stream of it on top of playing the game. That was an interesting time. Too bad I go to a different school now though. lol

If I was going to play on an actual N64, then GoldenEye. It has more nostalgia factor, which is critical to actually play those games now, plus it kinda performs more smoothly. Of course, Perfect Dark has a proper HD remaster on Xbox 360/One with an updated control scheme and 60fps.
