The only thing i cannot figure out or perhaps it doesn’t work is to play a hammer on and a pull off automatically without a keyswitch like you can with orange tree guitars. Play and hold one note and just quickly tap a note above (some short interval) to perform a quick hammer on and a pull off. With ample guitars it only works if you press a keyswitch before the starting note, with the auto HP it only does a hammer on or a pull off but not both . It just stops the held long note after you let go off the short note.

All of the ample guitar plugins are crazy if you want more of a rock or metal geared guitars check out the shreddage libraries for kontakt

I recommend looking at Ample's metal and rock guitars, which I am covering. They are on another level IMHO because they are dedicated guitar plugins made by a company that solely works on guitar plugins (for now). You'll have to purchase Kontakt in addition to the library and still not have any of the actual guitar features that Ample Guitars provide that make it ridiculously easy to play/program midi guitars. It's impossible to do this in Kontakt. You're stuck with whatever your DAW offers, which isn't a lot. But like I always say, if it works for you, do that.

Can you help me out with any rules or guidelines with programming notes on certain strings? Hey seems like no matter what my buffer size is on in FL I still get crackle noises every like 3-5seconds. Do you know what could be causing that? I have a MSI GP73 Leopard 8RE gaming laptop. i7-8750H 2.20GHz (Processor). 32.0 GBRAM. Windows 10 (64bit)

Try going into audio settings and selecting mix in buffer switch and/or triple buffer. Both options are next to each other. I'm assuming you're running this off SSD? Might be rough otherwise.

Idk what it could be, i've tried almost all of their vst's and it still happens. No other vst does this like Nexus 3 or Omnisphere2 so i'm very curious as to what could be causing it

I feel their plugins aren't as efficient as others because I'll get pops and clicks sometimes from these more than any other plugin (usually when live recording my screen for tutorials). But my CPU can handle simply changing the buffer up one step and it's smooth.

I ended up going into the FL settings window that pops up for the plug-in you have selected and I turned on “Use fixed size buffers” & “process maximum size buffers” in the troubleshooting tab. @@christopher912 I personally will be doing videos on the Vintage Cherry, Hellrazer, Eclipse, and Les Paul. I don't know what genre you're making, but I assume Trap considering you've been here since the beginning. The Semi-hollow is all you need. But I'm getting a lot of Post Malone type tones with the Vintage Cherry. If you want more clean/warm tones like the semi-hollow, the Les Paul will work well too. Behind those I would look at the telecaster and perhaps the strat. I don't plan on getting those because everything I mentioned above covers what I'm going for. If you want more than one guitar for trap, I would get the semi-hollow and the les paul.

If i switch to any of the articulation modes other than the default one and play my midi i made in the piano roll it switches back to the default setting, do you know how I can fix this?

yep, gotta add the articulation you want to the midi information. If you have a 61 key keyboard like myself, you would transpose the board down an octave to reach the articulation triggers. or just use the piano roll itself. Starts on C2 I believe.

I Like having an upstroke and downstroke key like on the MusicLabs Real Strat, but I like the tone on this guitar. Is there any feature that lets you re-strum the chord you're holding with another key?

I found it-it's D6 and E6, but it just repeats the same samples, I don't think it emulates upstroke vs. downstroke repeats.

that sounds like something you should definitely report to them about. I don't know if this is a known issue. I haven't really been using the presets. Have you tried changing your buffer rate? Is it still out of time if you reload the plugin with the new preset?

PEOPLE: Because you have to first trigger the chord, these Ample plugins do NOT sync properly in ANY DAW that I've tried. Cubase 12, Nuendo 12, Studio One 5, FL Studio 20, Logic Pro X. It makes it unusable for me. I have NOT tried Ableton or ProTools. My Mac 2018 Mini (3.2 GHz i7 / 16 GB DDR4 / Radeon 5700 XT / and Apollo Twin Duo) are more than enough. *Turn on your metronome and you'll realize that it's not syncing properly.

I understand the frustration with that. I personally don't use these to be triggered and instead just use them to play chords/melodies by hand. I think the work around would probably be a combination of adjusting where notes start on the piano roll and bouncing to audio. Definitely not ideal.

Yunginz Beats you’re using the key switches which only activates once for the slide. It’s supposed to turn off after you slide. The option I said above will keep slides, but you have to follow the direction of my first reply.

Yeah this was more of an overview of the plugin. What did you want a tutorial on in particular? This was this first video in the ample guitar series. I actually get into using the different features as I introduce the different guitars and point out differences. Not every guitar has the same capabilities.

@@da-el8547 The first question I should ask is are you wanting to play via midi controller or via piano roll/ample guitar plugin. Because those are two completely different ways to learn how to use these guitars. One is like learning how to play a new instrument in many ways, the other is simple programming, no skill needed. Let me know which route you're trying to go. I personally am in the first category. I don't care much about programming the midi vs. simply playing the guitar sound with my keyboard. But I can help with both. I'll be doing more tutorials on these for sure.

@@da-el8547 I know hifimidi has some actual courses on how to play these live with a controller and some pretty good videos as well. Feel free to check those out in the meantime. I’ll have video showing how to use the key triggers live while playing, but I’m not skilled at that. However I do have a lot of tips for playing these without them and adding them in later which actually makes these more fun playing in terms of just getting your ideas down and then making them sound like really guitar parts later. Either way, I’ll be going over both ways and more!
