I like how the Coat is supportive but honest, he's willing to tell Norwell that the song isn't good but wants him to know that he will do better
@UndeadPasta8 ай бұрын
As I grow older I finally realize how important honesty is in a relationship. If you can't be honest with your partner then you will never have a true relationship. Norwell doesn't seem hurt by Coat's brutal truths, if anything it's reaffirming the knowledge he already possesses about his shortcomings which allows him to either strive to try harder or pivot into a new passion he might not have known he was destined for. They really do bring out the best of eachother

With how much more corporeal Norwell looks I assume they're both in equal existential limbo now as a result of what happened at the end of the Charlie The Unicorn movie. Also I love the lil laugh-stutter Norwille made when he talked about keeping bees in his mouth, sounded like you legit just made yourself laugh and decided to keep it in. Something is both so bizarrely comforting, and deeply ridiculous at the same time in that Weasel's voice, the way he says everything. Honestly it really shouldn't be possible. If anyone irl actually spoke like this, this monotoned/constipated/lightly irked sounding nasal way, it would make me feel kinda ill; there should be nothing natural or pleasant about it, but it always IS, all the time, and somehow, it is my favorite voice of all the characters he does and I purely enjoy just listening to the shorts with this guy just for him. It would be probably very tonally confusing, and *incredibly* obnoxious/mildly off-putting in an Uncanny Valley sort of way, to even for a short while be with a person who always speaks like this Weasel in real life. And yet. It somehow WORKS, it just **works** at capturing such a soulful earnest unique personality, and deep caring nature. What should be an obvious cheap one note gag is both so good at being warmly cute and funny at the same time, and that takes such amount of good voice acting talent to do. Its easy to say great dialogue and come off serious/funny in an emotive voice. It is WAY WAY MUCH harder, to do it all in a 'dumb/goofy/flat' character voice properly. I just really felt the need to draw attention to that. We give @filmcow all the props deserved for the humor and clever writing, I just wanted to give kudos to how much of an underrated VA he has become as well. Weasel reminds me in a very odd fashion of an American accented Richard Ayoade (Moss, from the show "The IT Crowd"). It's so obvious it is @filmcow, it hardly changes up his usual vocal shtick, and yet its so distinct from all the other characters he does.
